I definitely agree with your statement Joey. The unbranded 'joystick' controllers do not have the same feel or gameplay quality that the Nintendo branded controllers do. I will easily eat through lesser quality Gamecube controllers while still having no issues with my original Nintendo Gamecube controller.
First off, original controller-I have to point this out. I have arcade fight sticks. American made sticks up until a few years ago had non "Sanwa" buttons. If you notice on the NES and SNES controller-they are concave as opposed to the replica-not concave. There's a reason besides the d-pad that there's comfort. 2nd Joey, I'm going to assume you've been told before, I could listen to you talk about this stuff all damn day. At least an hour a night. No joke.
Oh yes they can big time and i can confess about that. Idk how many times i gotten mad at a game and thrown a original nes and a snes controller at my box tv back in the day and it didn’t break
@@scoundrel8440 yea those TV was strong and definitely withstand me throwing the controller at the tv. You gotta remember this was back when i had a crt tv back in the 90’s before we got the flat screen tv’s
Only used the old skool n64 controller my self, the joy stick is actually fine imo, its the buttons that are wonky. its like w/e sends the information from the controller to the console just aint right. in extreme g if you spam the fire button youll eventually just be able to hold it for rapid fire. and if you hold it and release you can then just hold the button down and itll charge and shoot on its own
Agreed. I rather get original one over knock off cheap controller. In fact, my cheap Sega Genesis controller wire come out badly. I bought a Official Sega Genesis controller instead
From my personal experience, i think there is indeed a difference between joysticks on originals and replicas. My experience is with original and replica gamecube controllers.
They shouldn’t be giving people replica controllers in the first place. Dkoldies already sells shit for premium prices. When you buy a system you already fully expect it to come with the original ontrollers, not some fake third party bullshit
@@alexking3153 3 months late, the worst offender is definitely the backwards compatible PS3 phat, Sony made it so that only 1st party controllers like the SixAxis and the DualShock 3 can play PS2 games, replica controllers are 3rd party, so they can't play PS2 games, even when it's advertised as backwards compatible.
Yeah, they're old and will die out on you soon. Plus they are out of production. Therefore you would end up paying so much more than a replica (due to rarity), just for something feeble that will die out on you soon. The replicas (i would imagine) would have worked out on the bugs and original problems that the old originals had, plus are made with up to date materials (unless you cheap out for the bootleg china versions) Newer consoles such as the wii and beyond would have a harder time syncing with off brand controllers. But there are replicas that are dedicated to make it work for them. Keep in mind that Joey here is not gonna talk badly about a product that he is trying to sell. Especially when the original is more profitable to dkoldies.
I got both a replica and a original snes controllers and i seen the different on the controllers. I’m not sure if PlayStation and Xbox ever made replicas controllers but if they did how can you tell the difference in those?
I don't know about xbox but in ps controller replicas you can feel the buttons feels wey worse, the triggers feel like cheap plastic, no pressure sensivity in ps2 controllers onwards, no motion control on ps3 controller onwards and the worst from ps replica, the analog doesn't have like 360 angle movement, when you use it, it actually controls like a d-pad 😔
So you know the difference. Then put originals controllers in with your systems you sell!!!! They aren't an upgrade, they come with the systems originally!!!!
Quality Control in chinese factorys is not the same as Nintendo... Also they use cheap materials to make cheaper products... But If you want tô spend money on actual great "non-nintendo" controllers, that are actually better than the originals, you can buy a 8bit-do controller... But they cost more then a console 😅

The SNES X and Y buttons were only concave in the US
for nes/snes I have no issue with the replica ones. But anything with a joystick like n64, I refuse to use the replicas.
There is a difference between the engraved and printed one snes controllers.
The original controllers are always great
Just try to find a well working n64 controler
You have to include with the console an original control + 1 alternative or the 2 are original
The outer shell to the replicas always are so brittle and break from a simple drop, meanwhile the real controllers can take a beating

Hey-is it possible that when I order a snes from you, that you could do a board swap in both the console and controllers?
You could email that question to our repairs department at repairs@dkoldies.com and they can discuss it with you

@user-gz9mn4ik9b nope?? What do you mean by "nope"??
To up charge such a thing is beyond scummy and criminal.
Either way I never really liked the style of the N64 controllers, the layout was not the best
