My dad used to play Brujeria for me before he took me to school. I think I was 6 or 7. I remember the casettes we had in his pick up truck. Brujeria, Pantera, Black Sabbath, and a few other great ones.

I'll be honest, I haven't known this band for very long let alone listened to them very much, but I came to know them through my favorite band of all time: Cattle Decapitation. The vocalist, Travis Ryan, is a huge fan. Out of all the times I've seen Cattle Decapitation live, I remember seeing Travis in a Brujeria shirt so often! Not to mention that they were close friends for a while too. The influence that Brujeria has had on the extreme metal world is evident. I always love seeing metal from different countries and cultures than the usual USA/Europe. In these past few years, metal has suffered some significant losses which we still carry, with heavy hearts. The beauty of music, especially music as expressive as this, is that one's legacy is kept alive through their music... every time one of Brujeria's songs is played, Pinche Peach is remembered- and I have no doubt that this will continue on for decades to come.
