- I really thought this thermal printing android "hack" was cool and wanted to share it with everybody. In this video we show step by step how to setup the meihengtong xprinter xp-dt108b thermal label printer with an android device. This is a great 4x6 thermal label printer solution for android users that want to be able to print form their phones. It is a wired process, not wireless but works very well. I recommend getting the paid versions of the app because the ads get really really annoying. Thermal printing shipping labels from your phone is a convenience, not a necessity, just like the luxury of a thermal label printer.

Omg thank you! I bought this printer almost 2 years ago, and I let it sit in the box during a big move and missed my return window. When I finally sat down to use it, it didn't work for me on my laptop. I tried everything, bought all new cords for it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, and it just. would. not. print. It was calibrated properly and everything. I am so glad I stumbled upon this video because it is the only thing that works. I can print my shipping labels for my sales from my phone now. I bought that back in April of 2020 as the pandemic started and I just LITERALLY set it up Sunday lol I love the way it works it prints great and it was easy to be calibrated. I paid 112 bucks and money well worth spent.🤘👍

Received the Printer today! It was a different model and $109. Then I downloaded the Noko Print App, Bough the Labels, and ordered a converter adapter to micro USB. Then I'll try to set it all up and ask questions if I need. Dont think it will be too complicated... Thanks for the info!

Im sorry im uninformed with gadgets like this and didnt know if this was said in the video, but you need wifi to print labels? Or can you use bluetooth or mobile data? I have no wifi currently.

I've been looking for a small thermal printer to label boxes with customer names. I'd like to be able to enter the customer name and print labels from my phone with our company logo and info (along with the name). But I'd like to do that without having to create a custom pdf for every client. Being able to do this on my phone is a plus, since I don't have a pc set up in this area of our shop, and I don't really want a dedicated computer just for labeling boxes. Is this possible with this printer/app?

I do not belive thats possible on a phone. On mac and windows you can change the darkness.

Using a regular WiFi printer, I do bulk shipping label Printing from mobile using the desktop site on google chrome. Idk if thats relatable to doing the same with a thermal printer.

I purchased the MHT-P108C printer by Meihentong and the Zebra driver does not work. I tried Generic-Label Printer but it's spitting out blank labels? Any suggestions?

I am trying to do this for the Chrome OS, and haveing an issue in the apps suggested find int the USB. That said, chrome will recognize the printer if I can provide a .DDP file. Do you know where to find the DDP for this printer?

I have not seen any usb type A to usb type c cords but that may work.

Could you just connect it to a bluetooth dongle and then hookup to your phone that way? instead of the direct connection?

I don't have internet just mobile devices. Does this printer need internet for updates and stuff like a normal printer does to work properly???
You will need internet to download the apps in order to print and internet to get the files you need to print. Im not sure I understand the question exactly
I have internet access on my phone. I just didn't know if the printer itself needs to connect to internet or wifi.
When I was looking at other fancier printers and explained that I did not have in home wifi or in home internet access I was told that every printer that exists needs to connect to the internet and that my phone and tablets mobile internet wouldn't work unless I added hotspot for the printer to connect to for updates. I don't want to purchase monthly internet if I don't need to. I understand that I will need internet access on my phone/tablet to download the apps and stuff, so I am just making sure that the printer itself doesn't need to connect. Does that make more sense? I'm just gonna go ahead and buy it and hopefully I am correct in thinking that I won't have to purchase additional in home internet just for the printer!
Downloading the print settings won't leave a virus on ur phone? And wat phone are u using?
It's from the Google play store. You don't download settings.

If you're just getting started I would recommend use whatever printer you have at your house. A thermal printer is not a requirement but it is a luxury for a new seller.

Can you please tell me why my labels are only printing the top half(4"x2") of the label. When I press the feed button it spits out an entire label and my settings are 4"x6". I'm wasting so many labels.

Ok I bought all the stuff and got the printer installed on my phone! I use pirate ship and I can't seem to get it to show the label to print. It says to download the pdf and when I click on that it doesn't do anything. Is the label being stored somewhere and if so where???
It should download to your downloads folder on your phone you may have to find it with file manager or in noko print. A little learning curve but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Let me know how it goes 😊

The problem was I was trying to browse the web through the printer app to navigate to Pirate Ship and through there it wouldn't let me download the label. So I tried exiting the app and going to Pirate Ship through my own browser and then when I'd click download it would work!!!

I’ve got the driver installed and noko has confirmed that my driver was sucessfully installed, once I send the test template to the printer it receives the command but it just feeds a label through the printer without printing?? Anyone have any suggestions?

No sir, I’ve ran a self test on the machine and it will print out systems specs but as I try to print sample label it just feeds through. Weird.

It sounds like a settings issue. What have you done so far step by step?
@@thecollegepicker I loaded the 4x6 paper in there and calibrated it to fit and installed the noko app and tried a test print with a label I need to print but it literally only printed like a 1/4 of what should be on the label

It will not work with Rollo due to printer language compatibility.
