My westie passed away last week. He was my best friend for 16.5 years. I've never felt such a devastating loss. He did things like this all the time. Thank you for reminding me of the fun times.
Radnally my 17 year old Stanley died 9/29/18 he was also a westie. A dog that stamped his paw onto my heart. I will never forget him. He just died last week.
Radnally --I’m so very sorry for your loss!🌷My Westie, Dylan just turned 12, 2/26/19 and they are just wonderful pets, playful and funny. But, oh how do they capture our ♥️ hearts. We are made richer for having known them and they definitely take a part of our hearts with them when they leave. Their trust in us is absolute, to do the right thing by them in spite of the grief it causes us at the end.💕

But she did love her food, we are still trying to find another Westie to rescue this time but no luck. Thanks Again.

My westie was funny girl , she knew how to play games but when we play hide n seek she got nervous and search me with her cute black nose, and when she found me she’s eyes sparkles. I miss my westie so much she was my whole childhood friend and our family member. 🙁 rest in piece my girl , you are the best dog ever.
I saw this video a few years ago and I've looked for it a few times since. I've owned many breeds Spitz, puggles, muts, cocker spaniels, but none of them are even close to a Westie.
@@jamie150741 well of course there is no accounting for taste so if you are considering one but have a favored breed I would never try to change your mind. That not withstanding, for me, I'd say they are the golden mean. A couple examples: their biggest negative is that when they are young, like most Terriers, they are extremely energetic; yet not nearly as energetic as a Wired Haired Fox Terrier nor as docile as a Bassett or Golden Retriever. They are fairly quiet and GREAT with children. They are also empathetic. One time my wife and I were arguing and he would come over and lick our faces and try to make peace, SO SWEET! They get along well with other dogs and species. Ours made friends with a deer and they played every morning at the same time. A friend of ours has one and him and their guinea pig sleep together. If you can get one you won't regret it, that is unless you already have a favorite. Don't deviate from your favorite because you will always want one.

Westies are very strong-willed dogs. Once our first one was given access to our bed, my wife decided he should sleep next to it on his own bed. The very first time she took him off of the bed and put him on his own, he stood there staring at her and peed on it. Not gonna be denied! he was the king of the house, and we all knew it.

My westie used to love to play peek a boo and hide and seek. I lost her a couple weeks ago to cancer. Westies are such sweet dogs.
