I was not prepared for Lily to actually challenge Josh with sad childhood facts, only to follow it up with calling Nicole mommy.. Lily reaching peak Mythical Chef chaos is truly going to be a terrifying day at Mythical.

I love the simple transparency you guys have, like just saying "Yeah we can only fit four people on camera, Trevor's right over there".
Clearly it’s a ploy by corporate to make the audience think there aren’t any workplace issues. Secretly is a whole game of thrones politic and power grab world at mythical. Josh will win the mythical throne by beheading and sautéing his enemies.
@@tyrannicaltyr7200 Don't be surprised if Josh is Mythical Kitchen's reverse Jamie Lannister. You love him at first, but you start seeing that there's really a darkness inside and most of his most beloved actions were actually rooted in malice and selfishness.
Lucas's causal deadpan is exactly what the mythical kitchen needs. Neither high or low; it's the bane of chaos.
Seeing Lily get more comfortable on camera and show her personality more with this chaos group has been awesome to see.
"They didn't pick me up enough at the orphanage" the fact that it's a true story makes it so much funnier than it should be
lily's background getting fleshed out with lucas coming back into the kitchen makes this episode so good man
Poor Lily! I'm so glad she was adopted by her loving parents. If only all children given up for adoption got such opportunities. Look at her now doing such a great job at Mythical!
I really loved Nicole and Lily’s chemistry! It was chill and informative and still entertaining lol. I also wanted to give Lily a hug after her boil story 🥺

@@vivakatrob13 omg no LMAO Lily (Link's daughter) is a different person also so called Lily (she's white). I get where the confusion might have come from but mythical kitchen Lily is definitely quite a bit older than Link's daughter and also she grew up in Vermont. There have been several GMM episodes with Link's daughter in, they should be pretty easy to find.
The way Lucas infuriates Josh is just...so pure. So taste. Never change. Either of you.

This made me miss the days of Lucas being on the show helping Josh, amongst other crew members. However, the standouts were Emily and Lucas. I don't even know how to describe the weirdness of Lucas, but his consistent, "I'm not going along with your bit", behavior is endlessly amusing.
Josh calling Jordan an "oil-melier" instead of a "somm-oil-ier" was such a huge miss.
And that's why he's a cook and (no longer) a writer.
That smile on Vs' face when she said "I used to paint sometimes" was the most wholesome thing I've seen all day.
Lucas is funny, but it would be great to have him (or other judges) who would describe the scent/flavor of the food more vs. just the decision of which one is better- especially since we can’t taste or smell the food for ourselves. :)
Thats one reason they ask for Jordan IIRC - some people just have a great way of paying attention to detail when it comes to describing food.
I feel like Lucas is a great villain for Josh and it’s always funny they interact, but I do prefer Jordan to be the judge.
I disagree, I don't watch this for the actual cooking, just the entertainment. As good as the other judges are I'd rather see Lucas or David Hill because they are actually entertaining.
@@schro8060 I agree with you. Mythical has always been entertainment at its core and more specifically comedy/wow factor. Even Rhett & Link get visibly uncomfortable and have a not so good chemistry w ppl who are serious . Jordan is mildly entertaining but just can make things a bit awkward at times imo
It is nice to see Lily getting more and more comfortable. When she was first on was so shy and unsure of herself but she is finding her feet and its great.
I LOVE Lucas every time he's on. I get that he's not the best judge for the spirit of what they're trying to accomplish... but he's SO funny. Any excuse to get Lucas on camera, I'm here for it.

Me too! I remember the first few episodes where she was nervous you could tell, now she’s comfortable and I love her
I want to see more of what Vi can make! I have a fantasy where Mythical Kitchen recreates Cut Throat Kitchen, and has Josh running around messing with Nicole, Trevor, Vi and Lilly as they all try to cook the best variation of a dish.

I am not a fan of Vi. She’s my least favorite because 90% of the time she seems like she’s High.
I just don’t enjoy that.
But everybody’s taste is different and clearly there are a lot of people that like her.
She’s seems like a cool person, so I hope she does well.

I love Lucas as an "every now and then" guest on Mythical Kitchen. His humor isn't for everyone, but I find it funny as hell!😂

I think Lucas is my favorite judge, octopi are very intelligent, and his absolute chaos-bringing with the chillest attitude, I just adore it.

Fun Fact: The recommended Olive Oil company is a conglomerate that sells low quality oils under multiple brand names and has been sued on multiple occasions for not being real olive oil. You're probably most familiar with the brand Bertolli which is from the same company.
Hold up…WHAT!!!! I primarily cook with olive oil…I got some googling to do!
@@celiazamarripa3375 You can test olive oil by putting it in the fridge.. it should freeze solid if it's authentic 100% olive oil. If it freezes partially, it contains another cooking oil like palm or canola. if it doesn't freeze at all.. it's just a bottle of unidentified cooking oil that won't kill you unless it's an allergen.

This is misinformation. The UC Davis study that articles based these claims on were flawed and later recanted. While that company has settled a lawsuit, it was simply about the "imported from Italy" claim, and had nothing to do with (and in fact very heavily dealt with the process of making the olive oil) the product "being fake". Please do research before spreading false claims, as I was able to quickly find out you're wrong based on a less than 5 minute google search.
@@BleedingRedRose1 Unfortunately, as is normally the case with misinformation, most of the people who saw the initial comment will not see yours. Nor will they fact-check. They'll just take it at face value due to the confident way the misinformation was presented. This is exactly how and why misinformation spreads so quickly in our society. And it's this effective even when it's not somebody's intention to do so.

So listening back to an older ear biscuits (what if Rhett and Link never left North Carolina) the one thing I thought about was who we would never have gotten as far as the great mythical crew. I'd never heard of Fesenjan before this, but realized I had everything I needed at home already. Tonight dinner was Fesenjan over Parsi Pulao, and it was fantastic!

Tabbouleh needs it, I've made fesenjan with tofu and butternut squash before, it works really well in Lebanese spinach pies too!

We have a local vegan/vegetarian place that is all Persian. their Fesenjoon is AMAZING! They serve it with saffron rice and I get the biggest food coma afterward.
