Estonia has a long border with Russia, and a lot of that border is lake Peipus. Nothing strange there, but in the middle of the lake there is a small island called Piirisaar. What's it like living on an island stuck between (mainland) EU on one side, and Russia on the other? Last year (back when this question was a less serious one) I took a boat to Piirisaar to find out.

There are lots of raccoons in the Baltics I ve seen loads in Latvia. They were introduced from America for fur during the Soviet Union and have now multiplied

I think you mean common raccoon dogs (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_raccoon_dog)? Because they're a different species.
A few years ago a raccoon escaped from a zoo or some place like that in Estonia and that was big news here.
