One year with apple MacBook Air M1

- On this episode of Crazy Will Tech Show, we are taking a look at the Macbook Air 2020 M1 one year later. Should you still buy it in 2022? I talk about how the battery holds up, what software issues there were and are and other odds and ends. I can’t believe it’s been a year and with the new Mac Book Air M2 coming out should you wait or just get the M1 at a geat discount. Obviously I do video editing, photo editing, 3d printing and other programing. I’ll tell you how it holds up to those tasks. So let’s see how a Mac Book Air M1 holds up after a year of use.

2011 macbook pro was hell on earth for me. I tried that fix and it just didnt fully fix it and i ended up baking it in an oven and tried again still no luck. But I own the mbp m1 as well and am loving it since 2020
Did the same myself.. baked an apple, soldered, went to Apple Store, did the switching of the graphics cards. In the end this was the Best option. I’m glad to hear that you like m1 as well. Thanks for watching.

I’m wanting to get into 3d printing and I was going to buy the new m2 chip what are your thoughts on that
Would not hesitate to buy it at all. Everything works good now.
This is why I don't buy Macs. I work on computers on the side and I won't really touch a Mac from past experiences. I have switched hard drives and batteries but it's a pain in the butt. People are happy to pay the Apple Store hundreds of dollars and get angry when I would charge 75 to change the battery 😂.
They are not fun to repair and they’re getting even harder to fix. Never had any problems with IMacs. I get it, to each his own.
Generally speaking I hate apple. I got a 2020 mb air, and it's the best laptop i've ever had. LOVE this thing.
When I think about it - while i'm 100% an android guy, the iphone cpu have destroyed android for a long time, by a lot. So take that a step further and put it into a laptop, it makes sense it's awesome.
It's no where near what apple claims it is (doesn't compete with dedicated PC GPU's), but for something this size, it's amazing.
I thought them making their own chips was going to be there down fall. Didn't go so well in the 90s but I was Dead wrong. This thing runs my whole channel. Didn't see that coming.
Just bought one today for 3d printing…what apps do I need to download good sir?

Cura is gonna be the best but I really like Prusaslicer.
It says cura 4 is not fully supported on new maxs with m1 chips? Ultimaker cura? Correct?
I have 30days to return my MacBook…should I get a different laptop? I got this MacBook for $923 out the door..m1 basic…anything better?
