More Critical Role fan art! It's everyone's favourite kleptomaniac alcoholic, Nott the Brave! With Beau and Jester I wanted to capture their lighter sides, confidence and mischeviousness. With Nott I wanted to do something different. She's obviously a very silly character at times, but there are undercurrents of sadness and tragedy there, so I tried to capture a sense of defiance but resignation. I think I did pretty well!
It was kind of nice getting back to doing a portrait after a lot of full-body pieces. I tried to be a bit less fiddly and precious, but it still took me three hours and forty-eight seconds in PhotoShop CS5.
