According to the CET records we’ve had 18 consecutive months of above average temperatures (up to end of May 2024) so even allowing for global warming, we are statistically due a few “ under par” months. The MAO ( mid- Atlantic oscillation) is strongly positive - lower pressure than normal established over or near to Iceland and higher than normal pressure around the Azores so we are stuck in fairly persistent cool westerly airflow and we are not going to tap into any significant heat off the near continent any time soon! At some point later in the summer thus pattern may change and I wouldn’t be surprised if we will have a warm end to summer or a very warm early Autumn?

Due to another b@stard UK summer Blackpool and Skegness and all UK coastal holiday places are going under and empty , not good as yesterday the airlines announced they are tripling there prices so to fly to Spain going up from £500 return to £1500 return ...oops ....
