    Bills fan here, and I'm even excited to watch Lance play. He reminds me a lot of Allen, both in college and now in the NFL. I expect Lance to have a season this year (his 1st year starting) similar or a slightly better than Allen's 2nd year starting.

    I can’t express how much talent you can already see. His little play that he got was so good compared to guys you see as long time backups. I understand he was the 3rd pick but you just see the skill of him compared to some qb’s in the league. He has all the tools and physical abilities. The kid ran the most pro QB style offense in college football. Even though NDSU is D2 they literally are one of the only programs that let their QB’s take snaps under center the majority of the time. If he can work on throwing a tighter spiral and add a little touch the kids going to be a pro bowl qb. Peyton Manning threw a wobbly ball as well.

    • @BradHolkesvig
      @BradHolkesvig Před 9 měsíci

      I know Jerry Jones will treat him much better than the idiots Ted York, John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan did.
      I have been a 49er fan since 1981 when Eddie DeBartolo Jr., Bill Walsh, and eventually George Seifert and Mike Shanahan were running the show and won 5 Super Bowls with only 2 quarterbacks who got to retire as 49ers except when Steve Young filled in for Joe Montana while he was healing from his elbow surgery for those 2 years. After Joe healed up, Eddie was unsuccessful in convincing his manager and coach to put him back on the field as the starting quarterback until he retires. That is how you treat a quarterback who delivered you 4 Super Bowl rings.
      The idiots who are running the show for the past 23 years do not know how to use one good quarterback and build him a good offense and strong defense to make him succeed. Jerry Jones did it with Troy Aikman, tried with Tony Romo and now he will be using Dak Prescott and Trey Lance to build a winning team around them for more Cowboy success.
      Jerry Jones learned a long time ago how to use only one quarterback at a time, treat him with total respect even when he's not getting his team into the playoffs and winning the NFC championship game to play in the Super Bowl. Tony Romo understands that very well. Troy Aikman started out by losing every game during his first season as a starter going 0 -11. Why did Jerry Jones keep him? Because he knew he had a star in the making and figured out how to build a strong offense for Troy and a good enough defense to make Troy as successful as possible until he was about to retire after all those concussions and severe back problem. Even then, Troy Aikman wanted to continue playing but because of his poor health body wise, he simply had to retire for good.
      Troy Aikman, Tony Romo, Joe Montana, Steve Young, Tom Brady, John Elway, Fran Tarkenton, Dan Marino, and several other great NFL quarterbacks played for very smart NFL franchise owners who all knew that using one good quarterback and build good offenses and defenses around them were the best way to produce more success and win multiple championship games to get their teams into the Super Bowl games where they have a 50% chance of winning it.

    Late in games when they were down by a couple of touchdowns I don’t know why they insisted on running him so much. He got beat up in San Francisco.
    They rarely threw deep balls down the middle of the field and didn’t “encourage” him to lean more on short passes and the running game, which would have allowed him some breathing room to get acclimated in the pocket.
    Maybe he’s just a hard-headed kid who would listen but they did him no favors. They truly don’t believe in his talent if they traded him to Dallas. They burned the bridge behind him when he left. Running him every other play was stupid. That’s not a long term play.

      Low football IQ, shakey pocket presence, stares down receivers, Doesn’t utilize our running backs like he should, its like he almost forgets about them because he is mobile
      , all of the creative Shanahan running back plays fall by the wayside…and thats where all the fancy misdirection and trickery is , the niners got a thousand different ways to run it down a teams throat, and even on 1st and 2nd down he rarely hands it off… usually, You Run the ball so you can open up the BOOT offense…if you dont utilize the Run game then it limits and prevents that good ole “Tit for Tat” football
      Idk….im not sold on him yet
