Had the earlier CG/ SG provided , created heavy industries like BHEL, oft, happ, golden rock and institutions like NIT, iim, bim, which are in Trichy , our Madurai would have long and easily overtaken Trichy and kovai in terms of industrial , manufacturing sector. Also, Trichy airport , corporation , trade association lobbies are working hard and unitedly to uplift and develop Trichy. This kind of Unity, demand are missing in TNCCi Madurai . Most People of Madurai are not even aware of our Madurai city's lack of industries, government neglect , and bypassing / discrimination our Madurai has been facing , in terms of growth and development. Madurai is the 3rd city after Chennai and kovai to have Luxury car outlets of Audi, Mercedes-Benz and BMW . Trichy still never has these. Our city,s automobile sales ,=retail business is certainly more , than that of Trichy.
