He gave a speech encouraging his followers to kill their oppressors if anything happened to him. Incidentally, he was also quit boring in his discourses. I was happy to leave. I think the interview of Dr Murray Binderman (minute 10:15) was very insightful, the creation of the NOI was inevitably due to the racist oppressive atmosphere the African Americans suffered and endured in this country.

I was shocked when I found out his skin tone was light and his hair was strait. I always reasoned that when they said “God came in the person of WFM” I understood that to mean that he wasn’t God in the flesh, but Gods spirit entered him. Somewhat like he was anointed. I was not around when he left. But when Elijah’s son Wallace took over. I and many others were disappointed. Wallace was also a very boring speaker. I’m a Jehovah’s Witness now, content with the peace and love they show in their international brotherhood
