I just bought a stack of older Mad magazines; I grew up with them(born in the 50's) and it's so much fun going through them! Some are from the 50's.
I just bought a 1962 Popye comic and a stack of Mad magazines from Lockernuts. Some of the Mads are from the late 50's. I was born mid 50's and it's a blast going through them!!
That's amazing because the 1950s MADs are tough to find!

I recently bought a large heman lot and sold off everything except castle grayskull and snake mountain. Both VERY dirty and missing parts. They do have some parts, like the chair and the floors. But I was going to donate them to local thrift store because didnt think they would have much value. Im sure the microphone doesnt work on snake mountain, this lot of heman stuff was stored inside a shed for decades and they were caked on with dirt and cobwebs. Bought the whole lot for 80 bucks. Sold all the figures and accessories for over 200. I know that was a steal because from what I saw, it included the purple cape that went with some halloween version of skeletor and from what I saw the cape alone sold for over 100 bucks. But just didnt take the time to sort through everything. So many accessories/weapons. I regret not taking my time to go through everything, just everything was so dirty.
Yep! I have purchased some dirty castles and Snake Mountains before too. They usually can be cleaned up which I find fun because it is like brining an item back to life.

I Love Daisy I love doggies. I have six of them little ones I’ll take Daisy. Also she is gorgeous. You can tell she’s loved taken well care of and happy and that’s what I like. Great educational and entertaining video as always. I have a question, how do you manage time or whats your routine to list everything you buy and not get stuck with a death pile and keep buying? I’m doing great getting inventory but I feel like I can’t keep up listing.

I have a video on time management you can see here: tinyurl.com/2p9njhmh At a certain point, it becomes important to stop sourcing as much if you are having difficulty keeping up with listing so I really narrown down where I source from and am very selective what sales I go to and what I get when I go it. It definitely requires some self-discipline.

I’m slowing down buying until I post all I have but it is so hard to self control not to when I see so many good estate and garages sales around. @@7thAvenueProducts lol no problem. It’s definitely difficult no doubt. Keep in mind that you don’t have to completely ban yourself from the Sales but you can just limit what you get when you go there or just limit the amount of times that you go out or the number of sales that you go to. There’s all sorts of ways to do it, but the key is making sure you’re not getting yourself overwhelmed with inventory

WOW I have a graded 9.2 and a 9.0 of secret Wars #8 I don't remember which one is graded higher due to the fact that I have newstand and a regular copy. What pisses me off was there was a running debate for years as to whether it made a difference if your comic had the spiderman or the UPC label. Now 40 years latter it's a big fing deal. I want to choke out ever single fandom magazine person who said "It did not make a difference in collect ability or price.

If it's the 1970 version, yes because that's when the Neal Adams Art run begins and it's 1st Appearance of Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) in Title. If it's the 1996 version, nope.
Are the reprints pretty obvious to spot?
Yep! If you know what to look for. Sometimes, it literally says reprint on the cover. Other times it’s missing something that was on the original version on the front cover. The best way to tell though is to open to the front page or the back page where it has the publication date. Another indicator is condition. Reprints are often in near mint condition whereas a true original will usually have some wear

Well, there’s not really a website but you need to know if they are truly graphic novels or trade paperbacks. Trade paperbacks are collections of previously printed material whereas graphic novels are new content. Check the printing inside bc 1st printing is preferred. Then you need to know about condition. We the link to the Overstreet grading book in the video description which will help you a lot. Then just check comps on eBay and if others are currently listed and price accordingly

Yea for sure but you really have to try and find the originals, not the reprints. They are very expensive
