Georges Hobeika (born 8 February 1962, in Baskinta) is a Lebanese fashion designer of haute couture and ready-to-wear clothing. Hobeika officially opened his atelier in Beirut, Lebanon in 1995, and has been presenting his collections in Paris, during the city’s official fashion weeks, for over a decade. Hobeika is officially recognized by the "Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture", as a guest member.[1]
Today, Hobeika owns and manages his fashion house which includes four lines: Georges Hobeika Couture - Georges Hobeika Bridal - Georges Hobeika Signature - GH by Georges Hobeika. Georges Hobeika operates the fashion label from his showroom on the rue Royale in Paris and from his atelier headquarters in Beirut.

This is hand embroidery work ... awesome.. but the dark side of hand embroidery workers' they don't get enough money for that..

I do hand embroidery as a hobby and the latest piece I did (around 10cm x 10cm) must have around 40-60hs of work, maybe more, so I highly doubt they get a good pay per hour, but one can only hope I guess
Sadly, nobody wants to pay for the time truly exquisite art takes, at least in the artists lifetime.

Masterpieces made so beautifully but worn so disastrously
The swan dress is one of the most beautiful works of art I’ve seen in the fashion world. To me, it’s a shame that few people will get to enjoy it if it ends up in a private collection somewhere, but there’s always a chance that some socialite will acquire it and then donate to a museum as an act of philanthropy.
The intricacy of work and skill of the artisans is staggering. The beauty of the finished product made me tear up. They are pieces of art, not just dresses.
Yes this is art for me clothes should be functional first and not invest too much money and time or else its not enviromentally friendly!

I like how they showed the different stages of the process of making the dresses. From the drawings, the embroideries to the runway show. Once on, the dresses look amazing!
I love the behind the scenes of all crafters of fashion shows. The embroiderers, pattern makers, cutters, jewellery - everyone who makes the drawings come to life.

The gown is gorgeous and just watching it being made. So many hours that it takes……many do not understand the time it takes to design…..create the pattern……cut…..sew and produce!
