Bruce always brings intensity to songs from Darkness. But, shit this is the way this album was meant to be heard.
There's something about a band playing songs, inspired, written and recorded mere miles from this place with just as much fire, passion and ROCK POWER as they did when they laid them down decades ago.
So great. Best band ever. Rest in peace Big Man.

Badlands seriously, this song is a materclass master piece, this song should go in with classic rock songs off all time my God.... who writes songs like this today. Rock dies when this man leaves this earth.
I’m quite emotionally repressed, and I prefer to process tough things by myself. But when you sang:”Baby everything dies that’s a fact. But maybe everything that dies comes back”. That hit me pretty deep, considering the fact that my grandad had died the same day that I saw you live. So thank you so much!❤

Transcendental! Bruce could turn base metal to gold, but this is inspirational. My dad's favourite Springsteen song...
My son during his teens was into grunge, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Matchbox Twenty , and Stone Temple Pilots to name a few. I was surprised when I went home early one day, to find him and several of his friends there. They were all excited about the music my son was playing for them (Darkness on the Edge Of Town). They wanted to know who it was? Where did he find it?. I smiled so hard that my face almost broke when he told them it was Bruce Springsteen and his dad, me, turned him onto it. That day a whole new generation had their minds blown by the BOSS and several more life long fans were created.
He also credits me with introducing Dylan, Johnny Cash and the whole Outlaw Country genre to him. To be honest he turned me onto some really good music his generation was into. Two weeks ago he, his wife, and baby came on one of their far to seldom trips to visit, Brian Fallon was quietly playing in the background but he quickly turned it up. Seems that he was a Fallon fan before I was.

What does Springsteen have again caucasians? What's he trying to hide? Finally, down with food banks. At every concert he's goes on and on and on. And on - for about 2 minutes - asking for support for the local food bank. What nerve. Someone should tell him he lost his First Amendment Rights when he became rich and famous. Shut up and sing, Bruce.
