This is definitely something that has to be experienced in person. Feeling the car move and the immersion is incredible. Definitely a must ride
I rode it for the first time on the 14th this month, my favorite effect was the wind in the tornado scene. One of my favorite parts is how we randomly stumble into daisy’s dance studio in train cars and she just starts the class like it’s completely normal 😂😂, now that made me feel like I was in a cartoon short👏🙏😇👌!!!!!!
And they put subwoofers into the seat for rumble effects as well. 52 video servers run this ride since it’s all projection. When the lights are on the ride itself is all grey. I hope this means in the future some of the scenes can get custom holiday makeovers
The screen moving up in the intro to reveal the hole in the wall is incredibly noticeable in person. No one in that room was questioning how they did it.
The tornado room tho. You can feel that. And when you drop down the waterfall it feels like your actually falling.
yes especially when the train runs into the barn and the wall lifts up revealing a hole cause in real life it was not that obvious so i came to this video to see how it worked
@@ChickenNoodle5 this is this is definitely something that has to be experienced person feeling The car moved in the immersion is incredible. Definitely a must a ride.
The end scene actually made me emotional because how beautiful it was and it made me stop to think how lucky I was to be there
Man, they really nailed the cartoon aesthetic in this ride.
Must’ve been a right bugger to build and design
That’s really the whole point of the design it’s supposed to be based off the Mickey shorts which are cartoony
It is really hard to tell what is a projection and what is a three-dimensional object
I like that.
I absolutely love that one car of people who were actually dancing in their seats in Daisy’s studio 😂
Which one?
@@AbelsAdventures 4:28
Makes me giggle
How can train cars dance?
The one group in the back at Daisy's segment was just super into it, the energy is infectious.
The fact you enter and exit the ride THROUGH the movie screen is such a cool detail. Literally walking into the cartoon.
Give a big prize to whoever provided the animation for a ride this big.
Thank the talented folks at Mercury Filmworks, Paul Rudish, and the Disney TV Animation Studio for that!
2:58
I love it when disney rides hit you up with *this* sound.
Now THIS is a great ride! Immersive, entertaining, perfectly themed and balanced, and is overall a very memorable experience that you can enjoy and experience in a whole new way every time you go on it!
4:42 those people are dancing in the back xD that’s amazing
4:43 the people dancing was the most wholesome thing I’ve seen all day
This is what I'd imagine stepping into Peter Porker (a.k.a. Spider-Ham's) universe would be like...What an awesome ride!
This has got to be my new favorite. That factory transformation scene is INCREDIBLE.
Haley J. True
Haley J. Specially the daisy part was funny as well 😂
Thats alien.
i know its the best

One of the best rides Disney has added in decades! So much fun for all ages.
Fantastic editing work here. Thanks so much for putting all the shots together the way you did - it's a lot easier to understand the story going on here this way. I honestly had no idea how Mickey & Minnie ended up in a tornado after the amusement park from other videos - you're the only one that made sure to show a shot of them getting sucked over into it. Plus I just like seeing as much of those animatronics as possible. The projection mapped faces kinda look weird at certain angles, but dang they are expressive as heck and look great! Seriously, great job editing this!
I’ve probably watched every video of this ride and this has got to be the best. Thanks for the upload and great editing!
Thanks!
I wish they also put this in universal orlando
Best Of Orlando lucky you, you got to ride before this pandemic started :(
Love your pfp picture
@@Alex_Thegachacreator thank you!
The way the 2D screens in the carnival booth interact with the environment reminds me a lot of the queue for the Simpsons Ride at Universal - hopefully when the parks open up I’ll be able to visit my two second homes :(
He’s been a football player. He’s been a hockey player. He’s been a skier. He’s been a tourist. Now he’s a train conductor. I don’t think we should be giving Goofy any more jobs...for the safety of those in toontown
Maniac536 Goofy being the train conductor wasn’t the problem. The picnic basket’s pie blew the hole in the screen, and the true conflict was Mickey’s car separating the train engine from its passenger seats by hitting the track switch. Goofy thought you were with him the entire time, clueless about the misadventure.
Correction engineer goofy is the engineer
Don't forget that he was also a basketball player once.
Maniac536 Barbie who?
Totally agree.
This is amazing 🤩 it's like you're actually in Mickey's cartoon
Wow
*[90th like.]*
Yea
I agree
Yeah! I _really_ want to go on that ride it’s so cool!
I miss the Great Movie Ride with a passion, but this actually looks awesome!
I'm just glad they were smart enough to leave a tribute in the form of a simple poster in the carnival show scene!
@@SaraHouck461wait where?
@youhaveenteredthecomedyzone I'm glad you asked. I'm sure TPMVids provided a perfectly valid explanation:
czcams.com/video/ASV9LRdLBUE/video.html
Can we appreciate the time and effort that must've went into this? It looks so awesome!
It's cut plywood and paint lit with black light with the addition of use of a projector. The expensive part would be the ride vehicles and senor path.
Yes u have to go there its so fun I’ve been once and it was so crazy how they did the animations on it snd stuff
must've gone*
It does
@@markrichardsmith97 You shouldn’t correct them it’s right to put must’ve
I love the fact that Daisy, Donald, and Pete are in the ride too! It's a great looking ride and I can't wait to experience it in person sometime soon😁
A cameo from Huey, Dewey, and Louie is on the ride too! Watch very carefully in the video at the carnival...
Oswald and Ortensia also get are referenced, though by name on one of the set pieces
And goofy!
Pp
Me too!
Coming back to say that this ride is incredible. They really outdid themselves.
i like how at 1:00 the children are like *_"omg mickey mouse!1!11!1"_* and jumps in excitement
Haha I love the energy of the people dancing during the conga part!
2:03 Slide Whistle Sound Effect
Cool
Disney: "How do we make those ride POV recorders' lives hell?"
3:35 (Mickey And Minnie Fell Over The Water And Screamed): WHOAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! 😱😱
@Mickey Mouse this is disney world

@@TroublesomeSlateTruck 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Only Goofy could literally break the fourth wall
He just breaks it a million times in this ride lol
Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Shorts come to life for the first time!
The sets and designs are really awesome! You really feel like you're in the cartoon world! That said, I think the faces of the Mickey and Minnie animatronics are a little iffy.
Side note, the group doing the conga @ 4:42 - 4:50 was adorable.
I would love to go on this ride if I have the chance to sooner or later, and I agree with you! I would definitely start dancing with that Daisy animatronic as well!
To me the daisy animatron is fine but the minne and Mickey need a bit of work.
Hm
J
Ok
Ok
this is such an innovative and charming ride, and can be enjoyed by people of all ages (it’s also full of hidden Mickeys!) I hate when people knock it just because they miss the great movie ride. It’s one of the better things imagineering has come out with as of late.
1:54 General Minnie!
I love how not counting the queue the entire ride is almost the length of an actual Mickey Mouse short
Imagineering really did great this time
It’s like being the background characters in a Mickey Mouse cartoon
Was very skeptical to see the great movie ride replaced, but this looks amazing
I will miss the Great Movie Ride, but I did get to ride it more than one time. I do think this ride will be awesome too !
It probably got too expensive to keep paying TCM for the lincince
@@mguymario no tcm gave Disney moneu
@@mguymario Another reason is that it was getting unpopular. It was in its 2nd to last state of popularity. That's what happens to unpopular rides in the Chapek era.
I just rode this attraction yesterday and loved it.
4:14, I gotta admit, the dancing one with Daisy is crazy awesome.
Best part of the ride!! We rode it 3 times last trip!!
I went on this ride and I must say it’s worth it you truly feel like you are in a Mickey Mouse cartoon and I recommend it
0:35 goofy broke the wall
The fourth wall that is. Lol
Don't you mean, 5TH wall
This is the most well created ride ever
Absolutely beautiful. I loved how immersive it was. My only criticism would be that I wished they used the old art style, but this ride is still amazing and incredibly enjoyable!
Can you explain?
@@makennacampbell7892 i mean in my opinion, I think it would’ve been more cool and more magical if they had used the 1930s style for them as opposed to the the 2013 style, but both work! That’s probably what the commenter meant. I mean I personally could see this ride working with a multitude of designs. Heck, even if they used the more commonly well known modern version of Mickey (the 1940s one) it would’ve worked as well! As long as it still captures the spirit of these beloved Disney characters. But that’s my own take on this, yours may be different.
It is your right ✅ 😌 👌 🙌 🙂 👏

This ride looks absolutely amazing
Minnie: hello there!
Me a star wars fan: general kenobi-
Goodbye, old friend! May the mouse be with you
The way that last room transforms at the end of the ride is insane. It's just just screens. Actual set pieces were designed and built to literally change into other set pieces.
3:25 listen and you can hear Elmo screaming sort of
Wow. This is such an incredible attraction.
This is absolutely amazing and the edits in this video are top notch!
Yes, this video shows so much more than the videos that were just filmed from the first or last cars.
@@ZanHecht I showed this video to my parents last night and they were enchanted! My father said this ride looked so amazing he knew he would immediately go back into line and ride it again! Thanks to the edits they could clearly follow the story and that makes me really happy! :)
2:52 このミキミニの顔かわいい

I love the little “Goofy got hurt” in the beginning, too cute
2:44
Fun Fact: In one poster, for some reason, Huey, Dewey and Louie have their Ducktales 2017 designs (with the Mickey Mouse Shorts style) but here in the full ride, they have the designs of the shorts.
Where is the poster?
Taller Warrior12 I think he’s talking about the posters you see for the ride
Yes, I too would like to thank you for the phenomenal editing of this video. I also didn’t quite understand what was going on watching the other videos, this is the one that made me completely understand the entire story throughout the ride. Thank you for your excellent work!
I won’t lie. When I heard the Great Movie ride was replaced with this. I was very dissapointed. In my childhood my brother sister and I once rode this ride 3 times in a row. We loved it. Well. I finally got to experience the new ride and Disney did not disappoint. Mikey and Minie Runaway railroad was a perfect replacement to an iconic ride. And after 3 days in Disney with my children the only ride we rode twice was this one. I’d say it’s the perfect replacement.
Is it weird that I am in love with the daisy animatronic, it just looks so realistically good!
Ok at 4:50 the car on the right side of the screen, the riders in it are dancing along to the conga music. I love it
6:07 In the end, James and Jane are adopted by Emilie Tan.
even as a fourteen year old kid, mickey’s cartoons still entertain me at its finest. I liked the great movie ride, but I love this ride.
as a 21 year old, I still find them entertaining as well :D
Same here
There is just so much detail on this ride. It takes a few ride throughs to see everything!
This was the first trackless dark ride I went on at Disney and I was absolutely blown away by it. It's so fun! I'm tearing up just thinking about it.
After years Mickey and Minnie finally get a ride but tbh watching it I thought I was in the show like damn that's some good tech 😅can't wait to ride it
Nearly 2 months after our first every WDW trip, this is the ride we keep reminiscing about. Sure RISE was amazing and Tower of Terror was a thrill and Star tours was the ride we rode on the most, but this was just MAGIC. The song is a right ear worm too, we keep singing it!
This ride is soooo good!!! I finally rode it the other day, it was soo much fun! I loved it!
The final scene reminds me to some classical Disney romantic scenes like 'A Whole New World', 'True Love Kiss' and 'I See the Light'
That’s why it always makes me tear up at times!
its also great that the animatronics these days are soooooooo great at its movements
I love that one train cart with the people in there dancing along for Dasiy duck :D
One of my favorite rides ever at Disney world
5:38 you're welcome
4:29 Look at those people in the cart in the background
Some kid said "goofy got hurt" so cute lol 😂
Ive been to Disney World and went on that ride it was awesoooooome!
I like when Daisy was making each section dance 😂
3:35 Free fall!
🎶I'm free, free falling🎶
3:38 Mickey Underwater
The people dancing in the dance room was so funny :)
3:10 (ZAP!) ⚡️😱
5:44
Now that's a real toony, happy ending.
5:18 Turn the power off!
Love it, We just WALK into the cartoon world, Meeting all of the original characters. Just love it
The last wagons will be in front at the end of the ride and Daisy part was so fun. This ride is a family must
I cannot explain how much i love this ride
Since the whole pandemic fiasco, I just want to say...these POV camera rides...they're the ONLY way to see how the rides are now until it's all over. Also, I feel that this is the TRUE last time Russi Taylor voiced Minnie and was a great end to her final role.
Yeah. Posthumous role and archival recordings of Russi Taylor as Minnie Mouse.
I love these POV rides too, since I have medical issues and can't travel far from home.
0:58 "Goofy got Hurt! 😀" - Savage child
I HEARD IT
2:45 - I'm glad you caught a glimpse of Pluto with their picnic basket. He's actually Plot B of the ride as he tries to get it back for Mickey and Minnie~
The daisy ballroom scene is hilarious
My favorite things:
Mickey and Minnie animatronic projections
Goofy interacting with employee
Goofy in the train
Pluto’s adventure in certain scenes
Almost no breakdowns
Daisy animatronic
Easter eggs
Smooth animatronic movements
You know, I have to feel bad for the employee responding to Goofy each and every time. When I went on this ride that’s pretty much the number one thing I thought of

Looks amazing. Seamless editing on your video too. Great job.
I wish they had the classic peach faces and whatnot from their more common designs as opposed to the designs from the more modern shorts, but other than that, this looks incredible!
Honestly this would make a perfect episode
This is incredible. How it was from a train into its own separate little cars is amazing!
0:01 love this music
The attraction is great

*IT'S INCREDIBLY AWESOME!* XD
well , i think im saying goodbye to The Great Movie Ride , it was one of my fav rides ever
Vacation fun and Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway just opened recently and it only had a couple days of operation before the COVID-19 pandemic started and Disney world started to shut down in March due to the ongoing Virus. But in July it will be back to it’s normal operation in Disney World.
This dark ride blew me away the first time I rode it, sensational experience
I love this ride
This animatronics look amazing! And im so happy they used the art style of the Mickey shorts and the new series on Disney+ the ride is incredible.
I think I enjoyed this ride much more than I was supposed too! Lol. Was brilliant. Well worth a visit
4:56 We gotta stop this ride! It's too dangerous! THERES THE SWITCH! WE----HALF...TO--TURRRURRRRURRN IT OFF!
