- My daughter watches True Lies for the first time. After starting off with The Terminator and moving on to its sequel, Maya has developed a wee bit of a crush on Arnold, will True Lie deepen this bond or will that scene with the dogs shatter her image of him???
It's been a while since I saw this movie last, and I completely forgot how Arnie can be.

But in order to understand & appreciate that movie, the viewers must have seen at least a few typical 80s & early 90s action movies. Otherwise, most of the humour is gonna go over the head.
P.S: Similar advice goes for Cabin in the Woods. In some reaction channels I've seen people recommend it to newbies who have no idea about typical Horror movies.
True Lies is arguably the greatest action comedy of the 1990s.
U know what, I did not like Tropic Thunder which everyone seems to love as a action comedy! But just my opinion. But yeah, True Lies is definitely a classic!

Movies and music are great for bounding. I saw the suggestion for Last Action Hero and I support that choice.

Arnold can actually speak English without that accent, he continues to use it because it has sort of become his trademark.
BTW, no offense but it would be nice if you could balance the volumes of the film and your reaction. To hear both, I constantly have to increase the film volume then decrease it when you react.

Great reaction again, such a fun movie. If you're taking requests, I'd love to see your reaction to The Sixth Sense, unless you've both already seen it of course. It's obviously not as much of a "fun" film, but really one of the greats from the 90s.
(Also, it wouldn't be a bad thing to bump up your overall audio levels when you export your edit, watching on a laptop it was pretty hard to hear everything even with the volume maxed out. Just giving some hopefully helpful feedback, no shade!)

Its great that you guys are coming back to these. And Maya, your hair is / was fine. You did good with the curlers or hot iron. This is probably where Arnold solidifies the comedic action film. I have always loved the dynamic between the two of them.
We are enjoying them so much haha! 😊 Believe it or not the curls/waves are natural...the frizz just drives me insane 😂

Trivia: The good stuff. Jamie Lee Curtis really did fall over during the sexy dancing scene, but got straight back up and continued dancing, so the fall was kept in. It seems almost everyone had a good time making the movie.

The Bad stuff. Eliza Dushku, who was twelve, was treated well by all the main cast and was supported by them when she was sexually assault by the stunt coordinator on set.
I think Maya would make a great undercover bodyguard, short height could be an asset! Pretend to be temporary arm candy or a personal assistant for the celebrity, get overlooked and discounted by the bad guys...until it came time to take them down or out. 😉

You guys are doing a good job going thru the Arnie movies… check out Commando alongside Rambo 2 because they were in DIRECT competition with each other. Telling you about Lance Henrikson in T1 reminds me- there’s some terrible action movies out there like STONE COLD you might want to check out FOR FUN! Haha, I like fun
An AIM-9 Sidewinder would not be able to efficiently carry a fully grown man. Well, it probably could, but it wouldn't be able to direct itself right. It would be all over the place.

Oh, and if Maya hasn't seen that series of films I think they'd be a really good choice for future reaction videos. The first film in the series is one of my personal top 10. But, like many other fans, I think all three are really good.

I liked your reference to The Fifth Element, though ("Aziz, light!").
And apparently, you've converted your daughter to the film, which is a good thing. I say "apparently" because she could have said something more inspired than "it was just a fun movie", since True Lies, from a film making (and SFX) standpoint, is MUCH more than that, but whatever.
"Maybe she's sleepy" is one of my favorite low-key hilarious lines. Tom Arnold's delivery is great.
