Record number of Blackfish caught in Barrouallie

Fishermen in the community of Barrouallie are rejoicing about a recent catch of eighteen (18) blackfish.
On Monday, a group of twelve (12) fishermen made the massive catch of pilot whales which are referred to locally as ‘blackfish’.
Fishermen told SVGTV News, this haul sets the 2022 record for the largest number caught in one day.
They explained that the last month has been difficult financially as they were not able to catch any fish and still had to spend money on fuel for their fishing vessels. They said their spirits are high as they are now in a better financial position.
