- Bauer's new Hyperlite 2 is now available. Cam and Woody give a first look at the new line which includes a number of significant sure to make you a better goaltender. We've had it on the ice for several skates now and can feel the performance improvements - it definitely lives up to the Hype(erlite) too ;)

Are the gloves lighter than the hyperlite 1s? I was not really impressed with the weight of the HL1s compared to my 2x pro gloves which felt noticeably lighter. Thanks!
Will the vapor 90 and/or the CCM 581 come stock intermediate?
Any plans on reviewing GSX? I know it probably isnt the highest priority for everyone but I haven't seen much about it online.
GSX is pretty good, I would not recommend their catching gloves though

Will the Vapor 90 glove break be available in the new X5 Pro?
No
Is the hand placement on the Mach and HL2 blockers the same? Believe you said the hl2 is lower neutral
this one felt low to Woody but he's not that bright so we're going to double check and see if he is right or Cam was correct in saying it's still neutral ... our $ is with Cam
Looks lower then the hyperlite 1 the thumb especially

Yes, 5X pro and we have a review coming next week ... it's VERY nice
What are the differences between the hyperlite 2 and Mach?
Stock Hyperlite is a Softer highrise and flexible soft boot (with a tight fit) and the Mach (stiff pad and stiff boot - looser fit around the leg)
i read that they have a leather front cover, is it a traditional leather like lets say True or Brians use?
The X5 (one price point down) will use jenpro instead of cortech/slider skins
@@MrDcooper47 is jen pro like leather almost? I recently bought a true l12.2 blocker and brians gnetik 5 glove that are leather which is why im trying to see if it will sort of match haha
@@jeremyvienneau3172 Jenpro is a synthetic like leather material.
Pretty much every pad you see, minus Bauer Pro lines, use jenpro. You're good.

Same as the Vapour line has always been: 60 degree.

True 7x3 or 5xpro?
I was gonna go true 9x3 (i have a true L12.2 and brians gnetik 5 glove) until i saw the price of them, i thiught the 9x3 was going to be a price down from the px3. Never been a bauer guy unless it was sticks, skates, or helmets but im seriously debating getting the x5pro pads
@@jeremyvienneau3172 yes that price is really getting at me. I’m wondering maybe if I should wait until the intermediates come out in the summer. But then I am also thinking the price drop from senior to intermediate might not be that big for true. Also the 5xpro look pretty nice this year!
Not a fan of the Bauer Hyperlite line. My u15aa son went a whole season on Warrior RG4 and aside from a numb palm after practice we had no issues.
Bought him the previous model Hyperlite in the custom pro for his u16aa season and after two months in, the toe bridge had ripped and the calf wraps were tearing apart. There is no reason for a $2000 set of pads to fall apart like that. The next frustrating thing was Bauer’s lack of customer service and their quickness to blame the customer stating that they don’t know how customers use them.
As a paying consumer this is not acceptable. Hyperlite is all Hype and marketing. I would say stick with warrior and go with the RG6 pro line. That’s where we are going for this season. And considering we still have that set of RG4 and are in fantastic shape, we see no reason to doubt the durability of Warrior.
I should say that my son does love the blocker and catcher, we did that the T collapses a bit from time to time, but he had no complaints with the poron (spelling) on the palm.
But unless you guys are getting higher commissions and kickbacks from Bauer, I’d say don’t even promote them.
The quality of bauer is trash. My hyperlite2 fell apart with in 3 months and they didn’t honor the warranty
Put your jibs in, have some self respect. 😆
Last film session without ... permanent replacement went in following day and Woody had just busted his flipper
