Positive camber with a rocker nose is my favorite profile right now. I ride skeleton key which always has this going on. The current Burton quiver is sooo good 👍
I'm on my second Flight Attendant. I had a 2019 and now I'm on a 2021. This is a very accurate review. The board is very stable and really smooth edge to edge. For sure not a park board but an awesome all mountain ripper.
Great video on perhaps my favourite board of all time... how would you compare this to a Hometown Hero deck? I realize that it is a bit softer between the feet, but how would that affect the stability?
Great review thanks. I just retired my Supermodel X which has given me a solid ten years of stomping. I loved it all round n this review confirmed my upgrade to the FA. Hoping new tech delivers for me……
Tj man, we gotta talk about how you managed to get the time to test all these boards out!? I thought you spent your winter clocking up some hours on you skidoo…
Great review man 🔥🤟🏽thanks I’ve just seen it after riding my 2021/2022 162w last season. I use to ride 2 to 3cm shorter but that 162w was so fast on pow steep terrain as well😱 so stable and in control. And just one thing, thanks to it backseat camber, this shines a LOT when riding on the rear foot either on pow or on groomers. Such a blast 💥 ending each turn while pushing on that rear foot…on groomers it literally disengage the nose when transitioning from edge to edge…such an animal for me 🔥🤟🏼👊🏼🙌🏼 Seeyaaaah 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Great review man, you forgot to mention these things are always on sale - especially my 168cm! I have multiple, and hope burton keeps this winning formula going for another 20+ years. Good luck
mann that is a really tough decision, but I would probably go for the stratos personally. The flight attendant might be slightly more stable but I enjoy the 3D base on the Stratos and the more springy feel to the flex
I noticed that the Straight Chuter has a lot of similar shaping philosophy to it, but it’s all just a bit more exaggerated. 18mm of taper instead of 10mm, directional camber with some early rise, but an even longer nose, a little extra carbon, etc. Have you been on the Straight Chuter? How do they compare?
Hi there, I feel that the Chuter should be the bigger bro of the fly attendant. So you can ride even faster and carve harder then on the fly. I rode the fly since 2015 and want to buy rossignol xv, which should be very similar to burton straight schuter. Will keep the fly to ride slower with my 7year old sun in the resort. Have a nice day
European winters are often a little harsh but this board cuts through the chuff like butter but on hard pack I am tempted to shift my bindings forward to compensate for the 35mm setback. What do you recommend for someone with less pow and more ice? Lol
Absolutely such a good video man thank you for the review! Do you have plans of reviewing the new RIDE warpig? I’m torn between that and the flight attendant.
I ride it since 2015+ burton diode in size 162. How would you compare it with rossignol xv, i know it is stiffer, but will do the rossi xv same pation like the old fly attendant did, but in faster way?
Hi TJ, do you were protective shorts? Which material do you recommend? Gform or d3o? And The temperature where I ride is around -10 degree to -20. Thanks!
Hello, I am new to snowboarding and I need help purchasing a snowboard. I will not be doing any tricks, just riding here in the mountains in NC. My character settings: 185lbs, 10.5 shoe size I am looking at Rocker / Flat / Rocker snowboards like Burton Instigator. Is this a good combo for a beginner and to advance.
How would you compare this to the hometown hero? I’d love a pow / all mountain board and these 2 are the finalist. I love carving would like to do some euro carve. I’m 170lb and wear size 11 boots. Hometown hero 156W, flight attendant 159 and 159W, which one do you recommend? Thanks!
Yo! If you like to carve, get speed while stable AND want something that can get into some pow check out Korua! Their boards are all about carving & powder. I have a dart and love the thing. The pencil is supposed to be amazing too.
If you ride a lot of POW this size would be great. I'm 6'1 205lbs and ride a 162. Love the board - it's great if your a hard charger. The more you push it the better it performs. Like TJ said it's very stable at speed, transitions edge to edge quickly, locks in on an edge, and just loves to go fast! I preferred it on the jumps in the park over my park board. Rails not so much, but I'm a mediocre rail guy so take that for what it's worth. I really considered getting the 168 for a powder board but ended up with a Straight Chuter and use my 162 Flight Attendant for the resort.

Agreed, I ride the same board as you too :D.

TJ, you are best snowboard reviewer. Appreciate your work. Best regards from Ukraine. Keep going.
Seconded

Best Snowboard Reviews on the Internet.
You should check out and do a review on the Rossignol XV, seems like an amazing freeride board!
Been riding this 2 years now!! Epic board
TJ- HOW do you manage to get so many amazing POW days at Copper to test your boards, yet Avran seems to only find crappy Spring conditions?
One tests like...20 board per season? One tests 100 or more.
Great review. Great to see you actually ripping on the board rather than just talking about it. How would you compare the FA to the Jones Stratos?
Got the same question😁
Same question here...
Another legit review TJ man. 🤙🏼. Still loving the kazu custom house bindings.
Brilliant review again TJ.
Hey TJ review the Burton Skeleton key!
TJ, would you consider the flight attendant a “catchy” snowboard? Good review, keep it up!
i wouldn't
Just bought this board and was so stoked when you reviewed it so I could learn more about the board.
Lover your videos. Positive vibes man 🤙🤝
Does the arrow tell you where to go
Would love to see you do review about Wave Chaser TJ also hope you doing well homie !
Damn the snow just looks amazing
Review the Hometown Hero
Best reviews only from TJ, keep going!
Looking for a board that works great in the powder trees, looks like this one is the one!
Great review TJ, if you could choose out of the two which one would you go for? This or the stratos?
P.S, what is your real name?
mann that is a really tough decision, but I would probably go for the stratos personally. The flight attendant might be slightly more stable but I enjoy the 3D base on the Stratos and the more springy feel to the flex
Good shit man, hope to catch you in Colorado this season, you rocking both passes or just one? (Ikon, epic)
appreciate you TJ!!

I think the setback has a nice feel for carving I wouldn't shift forward on this board. But you can always try it for a day and see if you like it
people still ask me on the regular where you are and how you're doing at the shop.
Absolutely such a good video man thank you for the review! Do you have plans of reviewing the new RIDE warpig? I’m torn between that and the flight attendant.
Flight attendent or Custom X camber for downhill/freeride carving?
This year's Flight Attendant is a bit wider than previous year's models. Check out the specs.
Can you do a video on the burton cartographer? Please
Is that how your bindings came?? That design is so 🔥🔥 I couldn’t find them.

Hey TJ, is everything well?
You seem to have lost contact with the comment section.
Hope everything is fine! Cheers.
Did you try the proto fr this year?
Snow already?
Great review. Looks like a fun board but nearly $600 is too high compared to other comps at $400-$500
Got it on sale at the end of the season for 200$
I'm 185 and got a 154w is that too small?
This or a hometown hero for all mountain carving groomers etc
2021-2022 DOA Next?
