I was like why is he talking so fast? Then I realized he probably has limited time with the car. Really impressed how much S was able to share in that short time.
Good observations.
No, that's his style. I generally like the pace of his delivery, but he does rush over a lot of the finer points and unique details at times. Sometimes cars are so close in features that its the fine points which separate them. Particularly when they're the ones that refer uniquely to the buyer. Take the seats for example.
Being 6'4, seating comfort takes a big lead on my top things list. But since he's of average height, he doesn't get how important the fine details of seat adjustability are when you're tall. The thigh extension is a godsend, and thank goodness more car manufacturer are including them. However, some have a lot more adjustment than other. Some not only extend, but can be raise/lowered to support long femurs.
He does mention the number of ways the seats can be adjusted however. But to be fair, non of the reviewer specialize on seating comfort, except TFL because those are big and tall guys.

The cargo space with the 3rd row up is the same as my parents 2012 GMC Yukon. It’s crazy how big these vehicles are getting

Yeah all car companies copy eachother.
1 - I also prefer the pre-refresh. Definitely getting some GM vibes in the front exterior.
2 - Those HEV/PHEV Rims sort of resemble rotary saw blades
3 - Something about the design of those captains chairs that make it seem like they have really wide backs.
I hope they will let you get the top trims with a bench in the second row instead of restricting you to captain’s chairs which doesn’t work when you need to carry 4 other adults & haul things in the trunk. Right now you can’t get the SX Prestige or X-Line SX Prestige AWD with a bench in the second row
Now most manufacturers hate physical buttons 😢
In the name of "cost-cutting", I don't mind screens but controls for media and climate should always be physical.
Most buyers don't. At least I've never met one that says they do. Maybe the manufacture should just keep the cars for themselves?
KIA can make the Sorento a more thoughtful vehicle by:
1) extending the ambient light to the rear doors, just like what the front doors have, &
2) lighting up the cabin light of the boot whenever opening a car door (not only the boot) so that it can light up the 3rd row for better access (since most of the models come with a 3rd row seats).
And another front end heavily inspired by Cadillac that ain’t a _Cadillac._ I would at least expect Redline to give those amazing folks at *gm* their cred.
Literally no one is copying Cadillac. Because it's an L-shaped headlight? Settle down.

Oddly enough im liking the exterior pre refresh of all kias but the interiors got better. All the wheels and lights on telluride, Sorento, k5 were great on pre-refresh
Dust blue interior is so pretty, I drive pre-refresh hybrid sorento, power just about right, I think both pre-refresh and the facelift model is about equal in exterior styling, more Cadillac-ish in the facelift. There are 2 grilles on the new model, prefer it straight down opposed to diagonal down. Prefer the older tail lights, this look silly, but I guess they wanted the whole star map theme. Interior on the dash prefer the new interior, older model is silly with the up down vents.

Loved my 2021 sx prestige, until the transmission went with under 8k miles on it. That is the only reason I am not enthusiastic about Kia or Hyundai vehicles. They are pretty on the eye, but that's about it.
This borrows (steals) heavily from Cadillac XT4 inside and out but a less luxurious version.This is the reason why no matter how great the vehicles may be engineered I can't see myself ever buying one. Most of their vehicles borrow from something else and they don't even try to hide it.
The *LED* lights are really cool.

Fogs are hidden at the outer edges of the lower grille. But I definitely prefer the front of my 2022 hybrid. I wish I had that digital instrument cluster though

Say what you want but Kia leads in led front headlight design imo. The wheels on the hybrid give Edward Scissorhands. The trim on the seating is impressive. Love the curve of the display!! The steering design is a bit of a disappointment. Cheers to finally adding CarPlay! Piano black plastic on interiors must go. lol

Dont care for the dual display. I like some elements of this but prefer the dash and center stack of last gen. I do much prefer the dial shifter, it's probably my fav electronic shifter type. I'm considering buying a current gen model soon.
I believe if these six seaters become popular CR-V and RAV4 would become obsolete just like vans made station wagons obsolete. I personally prefer these six seaters over the CR-V type.

I like the refresh .. But the plastic wheel trim and rear bumper isn't going to age well. Hopefully they offer painted ones like in previous sx trims

It’s a good looking vehicle but they need to build a new hybrid powertrain. It’s just slow for how heavy the vehicle is. It needs multiple electric motors.

They are literally famous for their horizontally integrated widescreen instrument panels and infotainment combination displays that are intricately executed found in their famous Escalade and now other versions in models like the LYRIQ, XT4, and CT5. Anyone that does it now are simply trying to imitated and compete with that.

You can never please the public. Half say it changes too much. The other half say it doesn't change enough. With the continuously rising cost of cars these days, the last thing most buyer should want are cars that are constantly changing design and lowering the resale value of their six figure current model even faster. The true all new cars only change once a decade at minimum. With most going for two or more.
BTW, ever wonder why Apple products maintain such high resale value for so long?

These are already on sale in Korea. To me, the exterior doesn't look as good. But the interior is better!
The fog lights are super hidden in the lower fascia. You actually put your hand right next to the passenger side.
