Christie Valdiserri, a model with alopecia, who used to cry herself to sleep every night after going bald, is now proud to be "bald and beautiful." She has created an entire community she calls her Baldtourage -- a safe space for young girls with alopecia to connect, communicate and feel confident in their appearance. I love being bald. I get the other comments that I need hair, but bald is me. Part of my hair was falling out, and I've been bald since the age of 18 years old. I'm 45 years old now! I wouldn't change it for anything in the world!
