Chill Kill is such a grower, it doesn't feel like a red or a velvet album but the perfect blend of Red Velvet, it feels like they've managed to mix the two together especially in the title track, even in a cunty dance song like Will i Ever See You Again there's something velvety about it.
It feels kind of bittersweet in a good way, you know? It’s a strange feeling. Like, the song seems cheerful on the surface, but there’s this underlying darkness and the song is trying to distract you from. Especially with how the MV is showing the girls happy after a murder (?) and then the cops showing up as their running away.

I didn’t really care for Chill Kill unfortunately other than Underwater (SOTY). I thought the songs sounded similar to each other and past albums. Red Velvet can really sing but they do this thing where they all want to sing together like a choir that I don’t really care for. I’m like really wanting them to take turns so I can get the full effect of each singers voice. Idk not my favorite from them.

Samara's case is really hard to discuss about it... Seeing from a brazilian's point of view, here we have a culture of making jokes about anything, even about ourselves and those jokes sometimes don't translate well to the people who are outsiders or foreigners bc if you show those indian food videos, most of brazilians wouldn't see a issue with it and that's something we should improve, sometimes the common sense it's different bc of your social bubble or your country of origin, we have such a diverse population and we still have a lot to learn so we can become better. Aside this, brazilians are very warm people, like Samara seems to be... I guess every country have flaws and this is our major flaw, structural racism

Samara being a christian herself makes her being even more influenced by her church and family's opinions
And being completely honest, many people here in Brazil side with Israel, the media show the Palestine vs Israel war like many european countries and United States, just now this is changing

chill kill album was not bad at all!!! it's just that i had a dream about what the music was gonna sound like before the album released and the music my brain conjured up was QUITE excellent so my expectations were super high...should've known better though 🤦🏾♀️
