Waddup guys, finally tackling this topic after it's been requested in every single previous videos - this week's tutorial goes over how I draw hair for my characters. The same can apply to fur as well I guess so if that's been a problem area for you, I hope this helps!

how to COLOR hair next pls! I feel like personally theres no perfect way i see every artists is different, but i'd be interested to see your method regardless.
I color it the same way I color anything else, you can see how I do it in the other tuts ;)

Coloring the hair is really easy if you know how to draw it. Just need to understand forms and highlights

it’s the opposite for me ribbons are easy but boxes in perspective i can’t
It might be a bit more advanced, but clothes rendering tutorial would be nice.
Not drawing, but actually shading and rendering.
I say that cause while I draw the folds ok and values ok, my clothes looks either blurry or like they are 4000 years old.
I do feel like I'm the only one with this issue, so it might not be that useful, but can't think of anything else.
Id suggest doing art studies and learn to use hard and soft edges. Look at references and see how things work.

Applying the rule of thirds to hint at texture on forms without overwhelming the piece with detail was such an eye opener. Thank you for your great lessons!

Nice instructional demo! Hair rendering is for character designers what foliage rendering is for environment designers. It's a spot that's easy to get caught & over-detail unless u have strong design & composition. But even then, it can take quite a bit of time to render it realistically. You can simplify forms that are large, far away or in shadow. I like how you made ribbon forms
A great example of character design where hairstyles are relevant is My Hero Academia. The hairstyle of some characters clearly define their personality; spiky and pointy for Bakugou's explosive personality, and soft and fluffy to go along with Deku's good nature.
We all know that saitama from one punch mans hairstyle has like all the detail it needs to defins the charecter

This is the most detailed hair tutorial I've ever seen (I've seen pretty much all hair tutorial)
These tutorials are unbelievably helpful! I draw plants a lot and the way you draw leaves is basically the same way you draw hair strands which is pretty fascinating.

Thank you for this, one of my favorite parts of your drawings are the hairstyles you choose for your characters it really makes them unique (that and the weird horns you always use) I can spot your characters anywhere (and I know that is intentional) as always, Marc, keep up the great work, your videos teach us so much.
