- Today we went to Guptill's Arena Indoor Roller Rink, which is the biggest indoor roller rink in the world! If you're looking for things to do in Upstate New York, this is a must!
Located in Latham, NY, Guptill's Arena is famous for being the world's largest roller rink and having a sick 50s/60s aesthetic. We decided to check it out and see what's it's like to skate inside here!
We had never been to Guptill's (or roller skating) before, so you can watch and learn with us and we discover all that Guptill's Arena has to offer as we skate, slip, and slide our way around.

I grew up in this area and Guptill's is an absolute treasure. Exactly the same as when I was a kid. The sights, sounds and smells are what really make it for me. Super old school Americana and it's huge! They also do have side rooms off the arcade for bday parties and a back dance club area called "secrets" that I think they open up at night.

I was a floor guard at the biggest roller skating rink in the world. Look up Alexandria roller skating rink, which closed over 30 years ago. It was supposed to have been an airplane hangar. Check it out.

That was a very cool video. I grew up in Chicago and the roller rink that I used to go to was called the hub roller rink. At the time when I was skating, and the 1960s and early 70s, they had a huge Wurlitzer theater pipe Organ for music. That was the thing back then, everybody skated And danced to the Wurlitzer pipe organ.
Looked awesome! Been a while since I've been myself so definitely need to check it out again.

I came across it while I was doing research on indoor skate rinks.
I would be curious to hear how many square feet this location is.
Because when I looked it up with the AI search engine said the largest skate rake in America is in Tulsa, Oklahoma and it's 81,000 square feet.
I went here back In the day, hopefully it’s still good

What are the dimensions of the skating floor?
I will say I think there used to be a party room(or one hidden well) , I had my birthday there when I was nine or ten I believe. I could be mistaken though. Don’t have the best memory.

The main rink is 36,000 square feet!

Nice rink but the people that work there got shitty attitudes no shirts or nothing I drove all the way from Florida rink wise yes 100 but people there are rude as fuk they don’t shuffle skate and only good song was pretty young thang but that ice cream parlor next door 🔥🔥
