Ya there idea of a pet was use animal whisper on random encounter and bring it back to base. Which once died is gone. That don’t sound like a pet to me.

Current alpha deathclaw owner here. If they lock in our current pets and never allow them to die or fall through the earth like they do currently, it would be a huge upgrade.
Yes, as a owner of 20+ pets (only a mirelurk king still alive) this would be excellent!
Maybe even add trading of pets? It worked in 1999 for Ultima Online, so why not?

Very excited for the pets! I thought you could already kinda get them with the Animal Friend and Wasteland Whisperer perks, but I know it’s pretty hard to do and that you have to find the spawns at specific places and not as part of a pack/group, so I haven’t really put a lot of time or effort towards actually doing it despite getting and maxing out both perks 😅

I spent 3 hours getting a deathclaw with that method and then it just vanished a few days later. Nothing else was destroyed in the camp and was surrounded by a wall so I don’t think it was killed even. Luckily this looks like something else if it comes
@arocker216 they often spawn partially or completely under the map which just causes them to die
Hope they make so you can perma lock a pet so you can "resurrect" the pet if it gets killed. Pets can die in many ways so sad if they fall off from heights or get killed by random spawns. Wonder if this is for specific pets or if its for all of the pet system that is current, would be awesome in case got an pet you want only to lose it momentarily

Players didn't nuke Helvetia because they were griefing, they did it to get rid of freeloaders.
And now we can't even do that anymore.

Since this is basically F4 but 'live', and F4 is coded for pets, it makes sense that they're going to sell pets for money at some point. I sincerely doubt that we'll get anything other than a basic cat for free, still the option to have them in our camp will be a nice addition.
Pretty sure the reason people are nuking fasnacht It is because of the players who afk. And it's not that we have a problem with them it's just it gets really annoying having to jump servers because half the server is afk and Helvetia and you're trying to do other events and fail the other because no one shows up it especially sucks when you join a team and you find out your team leader and half your team is actually AFK
And this improves the situation how, exactly? Other than making it harder on the players who _aren't_ AFK? If somebody wants to just sit there, they can just sit there in power armor (which now becomes available at level 10).
lol - if only jobs worked like this in real life. that's why. it's not fair and afkers know it - will abuse it until prison time is actually served. everyone knows a punishment is never a deterrent until they actually go through it.
@@asianartist1 Nuking doesn't punish AFKers. This is like trying to punish pickpockets by whacking everyone on the street with a dead mackerel - it annoys the victims, and doesn't deter the offenders in the least.

This is huge! if they start dealing with the pets, I think it also means that they will disappear/die less. I mean, they wouldn't start building new things for pets (purchasable emoticons, armors and who knows what else) if they didn't have a better solution to the fact that after several days/weeks of messing with getting the pet, it can turn into fog in just a few hours. Maybe they can even be our companions?? I can't wait for it! :D
+ the cat was emphasised on the pictures, that was theoritically tameable all along, but we never get the tame command on cats, because they aren't agressives. And taming works only on agressive creatures - currently. If it changes, possums, squirrels, rabbits will also be able to join us.

If we are getting pets, and things like Deathclaws or birds (thrashers? owls?) are on the table, I hope that means just about any creature (excluding most of the giant ones like Mirelurk Queens or Fog Crawlers, or most cryptids like Sheepsquatch, Blue Devils, or Ogua, because I feel like that'd be a bit broken or OP) can be a pet. I also hope that once you tame it, it's functionally immortal like companions in 4 or New Vegas. I'm hoping for a mutant hound; if naming is an option, I'd name him Meatball or Zucchini.
Previously this was supposed to be a different system so we will see
@@addictiongaming76 I do wonder how, hypothetically, they would balance it, that would be my biggest concern, even assuming that pets are like followers or companions. Fingers crossed it's better than the current camp pet system, although that's not exactly a high bar.
Fun fact - each time Fas was nuked I stopped the event and farmed flora and mats - way better drop rate than trash legos and masks. 🎉🎉
As for the pets - I think it is a cool feature as long as the put content around it. Add main and side quests, daily quests. Just adding pets is boring.
Would love to see them added. Moreso if they can go with you like Dogmeat in FO4!

I’d be down for a Robohound or Junkyard Dog, maybe even a Mongrel when I go Ghoul. That said, if we also get a Super Mutant mutation after the Ghoul one, I hope to get a Mutant Hound.
Honestly I figured Fasnacht was being nuked to avoid people from afking during the event and just letting everyone else do all the work for them.
Afkers are still receiving rewards after the nuke has been dropped. They might miss 1 or 2 events, but that could happen anyway

I'd like a larger camp budget implemented ahead of pets but pets would be something from which they can make money. I'm guessing they'll just pull the FO4 creation club dogs etc. and sell them in the Atomic Shop since they already have the models and textures. They'd just need to add additional 'behaviours' depending on what animations they plan on implementing.
This has not been implemented this is a file only so who knows if or when this will happen
Great Vid! It makes alot more sense know seeing the entire picture. I am refering to OC of the scrip rework, introducing a forth rollable star drastically reduces the chances of a god roll, and they dont want people using things that dont feel good or creates a sense of always feeling like they arent min maxing, i think seeing the whole picture alot more make sense. 4th star was never gonna be able to be traded. If used the weapon would become character locked

hope that Helvetia Nuke blocking is a real thing.
I think all Main (Moonshine Jamboree, One Violent Night) and Seasonal Events (Meet Week, Fasnacht) should be blocked from Nukes. If the Nuke already dropped on a Main Event location, then make that Event to not start until the area is clear of radiation. Seasonal Events area should never be available to Nuke.
Let the Nukes drop only on the ones that actually needs the Nuke to activate it, and the rest of the map.
Meat Week is already in the no nuke zone🥰. Some players nuke event areas by accident or on purpose if they need flux ingredients
They’re finally adding pets after announcing them almost 4 years ago
From what I had heard, pets were originally in 76 during beta test, but they kept running into an issue where the pets would get confused and start following the wrong players. If we're getting pets, that means they finally fixed the issue.
4 star legendary. Maybe they are adding an even more RNG driven component to legendary crafting. So much so they decided to make the original system easier.

The Fallout show and influx of new and returning players seems to have really inspired and reinvigorated Bethesda to keep the game progressing and active. I'm a new player from this Spring (yes after the show) but I'm 110% committed to it now. The first RPG/PC game I ever played was Daggerfall so I'm a Bethesda fan but didn't try FO76 as I was played Elder Scrolls Online but wish I had given FO76 a chance prior but better late than never! I hope they continue this surge of development and production to flesh out the game it seems they had designed and wanted in the first place. .. again better late than never! Thank you for sharing this! Pets would be AHmazing!
ESO was a let down, I even played almost the whole main quest before realizing how low effort it all was. FO76 luckily seems to have a passionate team behind it coming up with new and exciting ideas to pump the players! Cryptids were a great choice

I really doubt they will bring pets. That is one of three things they "promised" but have not done.

You think that if they are owned by the biggest software company in the world that by now they would have figured it. Reach out to other companies who are doing live service games and ask them how they doing it for advice.

Yeah nuking doesn’t hurt the afkers, they stay on the map and they collect their rewards
If you nuke during the event, you kill everybody, not just AFK. If you nuke before the event, anyone who wants to sit there AFK can do it in power armor or a hazmat suit, rendering themselves effectively immune to the radiation. It serves no purpose except to troll.

I did around 12 fasnacht , then lost interest , been running expeditions since building script and levelling like crazy .
Since I do most of the game solo anyway , the afk brigade don’t bother me .
I mean pets are at the very least a cosmetic staple in mmos. Good to see it's still being thought about.
Do the icons for 4star legendary imply ultracite? Maybe thats why they make it easier to get the 3star Ls you want
Meh, ive found other ways to troll afk players without dropping a nuke at fasnacht. Its not only a right but a duty to mess with afk players at events.
Thank god no more nuking possibly. I have personally been hording all the masks i can to give to players in need or have missed out on the event entirely. I have been server hopping and checking the donation box lol. Its more common to see a bunch dropped in right now.
The nuking made my wife give up on the event. I'm a little more stubborn, so I'm still hoping to find her a unicorn mask, but I will confess it's dulled even my eagerness for Fasnacht. If this comes through, it will revitalize the event (really, trolling is the only reason to nuke it - the enemies still spawn, and you don't get any extra rewards from them).
not what i've seen as a +1000; as soon as i go near the box, i'm surrounded by people who take things faster than i can drop them in. you're not a common but extremely rare individual. if they stopped nukes, but did not fix afkers.... should have an event with everyone afk and 1 dude complete it to prove the point on it being not balanced.
@@DeaconBlues117 they nuke because afking the event and getting a glowing is not fair to the folks who actually run the event. it's frustration at a system that doesn't reward the ones who put in the work. if you can't deal with nuked zones as a fallout player, perhaps the surface isn't for you.

Many other MMOs do have pets that travel almost anywhere with the player. For FO76 it has to be restricted to only while in CAMP? Kinda disappointing tbh.

You have no idea what else they will change, nor do we even know if this will actually make it to the game calm down. Nuking the event did not do anything to afkers just fyi, so not sure how not nuking it is rewarding anyone except those that want to enjoy the game without being harassed

I understand if you were raised as a part of the participation trophy generations, but simple existing isn't participation. Also, nuking the event simply discourages others from helping the afkers. That's not harassment. It's karma.

well, you can tame some & have them at your camp, but you can't really interact with them after that. They just chill at your camp & fight enemies
Then they just randomly die or disappear. This is a whole different thing. It wouldn’t be temporary, they could possibly become companions, and we could change their appearance.

it's not trolling, it's clearing the server of people making the event harder.

People being AFK en masse at the event doesn't stop the event from happening or impact the rewards anybody receives, as of this iteration of Fasnacht Day the event is simply pass or fail; 1/5 robots surviving has the same odds as 5/5 now. Nuking the event will keep people from doing it in the first place. Sure, the AFK players aren't getting rewards now... because nobody on the server is getting rewards that hour. Which one is actually harmful?
Also since they have the tech now, I would be highly amused to see the SV storm's nuke-eating effect active over Helvetia only during the event's season.
Also all these complaints about Fasnacht Day completely overshadowing other events, this is a symptom of Bethesda not implementing any kind of text chat system. There are plenty enough active players in the text chat mod to keep catching Radiation Rumble, Eviction Notice, and Moonshine Jamboree every 20 and 40 minutes past the top of the hour. You'll even catch more Fasnacht Days if you can land in somebody's private world where they delayed beginning until enough people respond to their announcement in chat.
Now if only they'd find a fix for when all 23 other players decide to AFK in Helvetia to try farming masks. Nuking Helvetia has been one way to fix that, killing everyone in the area with a nuke would break their AFK strategies and get them kicked for inactivity so you at least had a chance to get some fresh and active players for the next time.
Hate to break it to you but being dead doesn’t get you kicked for being AFK and you still get all the rewards when you spawn back in

@@stephengrant7066 Being dead itself doesn't get you kicked, but sitting around as a corpse with no valid inputs _does_ eventually get you kicked for inactivity. A confounding factor in AFK kicks is that it can take upwards of 4 _hours_ for the server to kick a player even with absolutely no inputs, but as long as they're not producing any valid inputs it will eventually kick even corpses.
Also, if they die outside of the event then they will not automatically respawn unless the player actually selects to respawn, and even if they _could,_ the event (and thus the forced respawn) does not actually start until someone interacts with the Master of Ceremonies, and their respawn would still move them outside where they'll eventually wander out of the event area.
Half of those afk’ers cause massive lag in the servers as well.
If they're rubber banded, nuking them doesn't do jack to them.

They would be absolute MORONS to not give us Dog Meat... and other pets. Not CAMP pets, wtf who cares about that. Wtf dont we have the automotron system from fallout 4? Building a war machine robot to adventure with was SO good.
Because it turns out that's actually very difficult to deploy successfully in an MMO. I mean, I've seen a lot of systems attempt it, but usually your NPC companion is an idiot who spends more time down or dead than effectively helping you. I'm not going to the trouble of taming, say, a dog just to have it throw its life away against an ogua.
I don't agree with pets, i think the idea is stupid. I also don't understand why people whine about helvetia getting nuked. I personally have no problems jumping into events whether they are in nuked zones or not, hell nuked zones are supposed to be one of the "features" of gameplay. And before people slam the whole bloodied build argument, yes, i have bloodied toons as well, thats what grape colas/ brahmin milk is for
That’s awesome u don’t have issues, but there are a ton of players that cannot do nuke zones and it deters participation from the server. When I load into I just die over and over again till the event is over, but that’s me. Also, some players cannot play in a nuke zone do to having older hardware🥰
Haha Bethesda sides with us afkers at the events they know their drop rates are horrible and now we dont have to deal with trolls trying to make it harder

pets is great, but not fixing the event still sucks. it's not impossible to reward the players who actually contribute to the event - it's actually easy as fuck if that is your intention as a developer.
So it’s not B&W which is what you fail to see. So how fair is this, you are new, you have no idea how the event runs and so you keep trying to find a robot, but every time you find one everything is already done, so you then just go wait for it to start. or maybe ur system keeps freezing so ur late. Now the event starts here comes I’m better than everyone and one shots almost every creature so you get absolutely no hits. Should you not get a reward? This is the problem, you have selfish people on both sides and then you have an event that’s nearly impossible to complete with nukes happening in the middle of the event, players spamming nukes, grenades, etc, and then the players that could care less if you actually get to play, because they can do the event all by themselves and they need everyone to know that instead of going to a private server or switching to a less powerful weapon. Yes, all limited time events are open to the whole community not just higher level players🥰
A lot of players are frustrated with AFK. They see it as a serious problem with this online multiplayer game. Ignoring those people's concerns could backfire on the developer's. A lot of frustrated players could walk away.
A ton of players have already left, because of nuking. It’s the same on both sides. Try not to get upset. 1. this is the PTS 2. They aren’t running Fasnacht so you have no way of knowing what they are doing

Nukes are a huge part of fallout. Blocking them is just caving to afk POSs because Bethesda wants to claim they have so many active players . The amount of afk players is disgusting and all for greed. This event has made the game stale and boring af. No one does any other events. Numerous times I go to an event in a packed server solo because there's 20 ppl afk. The proper answer is reward players on activity. But Bethesda Hates its players
Yes, reward by activity is a great place to start. A different approach would be to join an event by needing to talk to a npc or only after fast traveling to join the event.
So here’s the thing that sounds good and fine, but here’s the issue. You arrive to an event someone else talks to the npc, they also manage to start the event then they proceed to one shot everything leaving you running around not able to do anything. Should you not get a reward, because of this players actions?
Rather than make the fausnat event enjoyable so people want to play it, they just move the nuke zone. Nice priorities.

Wow, get upset over something that isn’t being addressed. They might fix afking, they might fix drop rates we won’t know till it comes back out on the PTS or it is once again live. Take a breath, this is the PTS. They are “maybe” fixing the fact that loads of players will not play the game/event with all the trolling and toxic players that come out during this event.
Bethesda and fix are oxymorons. Bethesda and fuckup are synonyms.
The company relys on outside modders to make their games work. (Modders with too much skill and integrity to lower themselves to work for bethesda)
lol @ 76's afk problem. there's the issue everyone is dancing around. i don't count it as gameplay when you're clearly soaking the event for rare rewards without working for it, regardless of your life excuses. like hearing pirates explain to me why they had to steal our title....
So how do you think it should be fixed as nuking only helped them? If you believe otherwise ur only part of the problem as trolls have convinced you without evidence you’re doing something good. Also, I really hope u or someone you love that wants to play a game and they end up with a disability that keeps them from functioning or that you don’t have enough $ to upgrade ur setup and it prevents from playing some events like this one🫡. If these are excuses to you smh

@Fallout76Fan there's ton of videos showing you how to do it, you need to find them random encounters by themselves it's easy go on Google and type animal random encounter locations.

@@addictiongaming76 it does actually, if fashnat is nuked no one does the event. And even if people do, they get disconnected after 5-10 mins when the died. The only way to prevent from getting kicked while dead is being on the map to respawn.
hunting or breeding for pets would be awesome, it would add some new endgame for people to do. I mean look at pokemon and how people hunt for shiny/ alternate color variants
They nuke the event to kill afk players
They can still get the rewards if they don't respawn, instead push them out the event zone with a chainsaw

I afk when i sleep so i can farm for rarer masks and i am always by my system so i hop in if i need to to help and i donate legendaries. Plus i am farming to give to other players.
lol I’ve gotten all my glowing masks from afk, never got one playing. I’ve played 70 events, afk about 100, all 7 glowing from afk
@koder354 that’s nice, but don’t feed the bears you are a minority not a majority. I’ve completed over 250 events a couple afk, 80% were me and I got 6 rares altogether and only 2 were glowing

I think they need to make big changes to fansnacht to stop people from being able to afk or just do away with the event all together would be fine with me
Why? AFKs are a little annoying during the Super Mutant phase, but that's never stopped any group I've been with from successfully completing the event, and they don't reduce the rewards the rest of us get. Sure, it irks to see someone just sitting there, but they're shorting themselves by not playing, they're not shorting me.
If they do NOT let you Nuke Helvetia then they need to fix those AFK'ers that just do nothing but spin, play music or try to hide while getting rewards
Nuking the event never stopped that, it just griefs players who are actively trying to do the event!

Only rare masks ive got this evemt run are 7 glowing masks no old rares and all glowing masks i got while afk and was nuked so i had luck being killed afk vs actively playing i have 0 rares i got a camp in that new no nuke zone kinda makes me a little happier so i dont have to rebuild that camp if i forget to switch camps before going afk

no point, people still get the rewards when they respawn. You're better off just server hopping so they can't complete the event.

@@sirnuggets9666 if they are spinning AFK it's real easy to push them out of event perimeter. We pushed over 50 people out and put them into the camper tent to spin away till morning after either killing with the flies or nukes. You act like we don't know how to fuck with people. Just because we haven't gotten you doesn't mean we won't reach more to do the same shit just no nukes next year. But oh well faster to use the flies anyway. Especially when you have a large group of people in the server. You do you just don't cry if we get you.

TROLLING ??!!! Helvetia gets nuked because of all the damn afk players that waste space on a server. People who want to actually play and do events have to constantly server hop to find people to do events so that ones like EN don't fail constantly. Instead of protecting the area Bugthesda needs to stop people from being able to afk the event. Events were put into the game for players to PARTICIPATE in to receive rewards. None of these players are actually participating therefore they should not be getting rewarded. The new legendary system looks like a gigantic hot mess that players will abuse to make weapons like the legendaries that were removed. It's about time they bring changes to the game but does anyone actually think about these things before implementing into the PTS??!!! 🤦♀

If they add the 4th legendary star to weapons they will ruin the game.. for two reasons 1 evryone will have to dump their grolls and 2 they will be too op
New legendary crafting system let's you add to existing weapons!

Trolling is the issue, it will fix a bunch of stuff, but most players don’t understand afk or how it works so it’s been said by every troll nuke the event and players just eat it up without looking into it. If ya knew how it worked you wouldn’t nuke the event
Fun fact - each time Fas was nuked I stopped the event and farmed flora and mats - way better drop rate than trash legos and masks. 🎉🎉
As for the pets - I think it is a cool feature as long as the put content around it. Add main and side quests, daily quests. Just adding pets is boring.

@@addictiongaming76oh. And as a player who’s new and has like 10 flux total, I’m happy for those 10 :). And yes I get it that newer players who may not have hazmat or PA or something to help a the nuke zone suffer - the change is helpful to them. Not lost on me :)
