I think it's great how they built him up to the end. Episode 1 shows he delivers retribution and defends himself. But he's not a serial killer, he is a killer among killers who kills where he sees a business-related or personal necessity, and while that's terrifying, I think it does portray (although in a more stylish, cartoonist way) how people like Vincenzo operate on their own reasons or moral codes even if it's not what other people do and it's possible to understand such characters even if you don't approve of them. He's a villain who accidentally ends up working with the common people against a truly evil and rich corporation and I think it's clear all the common people thank Vincenzo very much no matter what, because they were not going to get help capable of handling the corporation otherwise, especially when that corporation assassinates people who obstruct their goals.
Vincenzo exercises a lot of patience in S. Korea, which adds to the dark comedy and heart of the show. He came to see how some non-mafia people were worse than mafia people, especially when they hurt people he slowly had grown to warm up to and love.
So, by the end, it's not just Vincenzo like he was in Italy that we see, we see a side of Vincenzo who has come to deliver personal retribution against people who assassinated and hurt those he loved and those he had partnered with.
Vincenzo is so disturbing in the last episodes as he delivers his retributions before leaving S Korea, not just due to the violence but premeditated cruelty in how he kills his enemies, but because the story has set us up to see his actions as logical for him. It's the juxtaposition and range of emotions we feel about him and what he does as he does these actions that's the payoff of this show's storytelling ability to have explained him so far. It's a dive into seeing an anti-hero who can seem like a normal human being but also who can be scarier than most villains.
If people are criticizing Vincenzo on the morals, well, we obviously are not supposed to consider what Vincenzo does as a moral standard. the storytellers are just telling a story of a character who pushed our boundaries of how we may understand a character and that's what's interesting about telling the story at all. The ending had to be at least bittersweet because it's not as if the show is saying people should get away with murder, even very justifiable ones at both a personal and community level. But that it's sweet at all is still what's novel, controversial and interesting about the Vincenzo drama existing at all...because it's not looking at heroes and villains simplistically. Vincenzo is both a hero and a villain and I think we are meant to think that this is for him a happy ending out of what can be available to a character like him and I'm happy he got it because he was a great character to see fleshed out on screen.

I loved this. Besides ep 1 later episodes didn't show much of what trully vincenzo is till abit later on. He's not good guy he's devil, but he's devil for people that deserve it.
It's a great TV show but it becomes every day hated by people who thinks that being popular means a law quality . So what i mean , it's unique show because actually it hasn't clearly "protagonists" even cha-young is a gray character and every character is some kind of antagonist/villians in their own ways . Writers did a great job writing this story as it's . Vincenzo grew up as a villian and still he stayed a devil 😈 .. i love when TV shows are psychologically absolutely on another level and they don't promote a nonsensical change "from black to white for their BIG love" , No one change so easily even for love and it happens only in fairy tales . I liked that cha-young is drawn such a clever woman who didn't begin changing him like he is her child ..A part of women do it when they don't like something about their men ( actually men aren't our puppy so if we don't accept them , we should "leave/give up on" them than try to grow up again according our desires ) , she thought and got decision so accepted him and choosed the side .. I got a big pleasure watching it ,which i haven't experienced for a long time after Mentalist ended 😎 great dark comedy + drama .Two most complicated ganre , only some writers+directors+cast can nail it as they did it, rare case ✨
He's not vouching for justice, he's doing it for his cause. If doesn't make him 'good'.
