Hi Carl , great video and a newbie here :) , my wife was granted Partner Subclass (100) or a Permanent Resident with ' Must Not Arriver after 24 January 2022 ' . However due to my work , We have been living in out of Australia aka Oversea for the most of the 5 years of my wife 's PR Visa , in total we might have lived in Australia for about 400 days in total - We are still living oversea s now (5.5.2021).
I and my son are both Australian Citizens. I would appreciate if you can help with my questions below::
1, Do we /(my wife) have to return to Australia BEFORE the 24th January 2022 ? (Covid19 permitted) , however , due to my work if it is not necessary for us to return my then we shall not.
2, I certainly would like to be able to apply for another 5 years visa (if this is the current rules) for my wife once her PR Visa is expired on the 22 Jan 2022. Will immigration take into consideration that the reason that my wife as an PR has not been able to live in Australia during her 5 years PR Visa status is because she and our 8 years old son followed to me oversea.. Further information, it is likely that i shall be workning oversea for about 4-6 more..
Your guidance will be much appreciated ..Som

I am an Australian Permanent Resident and I was scheduled to travel down in March, 2020 but the pandemic happened!
As a PR I am trying to travel since 2020 but Australian Government itself has reduced the flights. Again we are facing the same situation in 2021.
Any suggestions sir to reach home affairs and request for relaxation.

Government has been hopeless in arranging more places for quarantine so they can get you home. In my opinion only citizens and PR should be allowed in first and then when your all back let in others. Keep safe and I hope something positive happens. You should be writing to your local Federal MP and keep asking for help. Thank you for watching and supporting this channel.

I arrived here in 1974 from the UK. I was granted permanent residency on entry. When investigated becoming an Australian citizen the process required information difficult to obtain. The rule that one shouldn’t be out of the country for a total of 12 months in a four year period is difficult. I work and holiday overseas. The former earns valuable foreign currency for the country. The more difficult information asked for covers my overseas travel. It asks for a list of every country visited and for what duration since I arrived. I have travelled to and worked in 43 countries since 1974. I don’t have previous passports. Tax records only need to be kept for 5 years! It is bureaucracy gone mad. I have no criminal record, in fact have never been arrested.
The British passport is less costly than the Australian one . But I have lived here more than in the UK! Do I write to the minister for special dispensation?
