@rosalinn took Armenia to an 11th Grand Final this May with the song, and now she’s enjoying life beyond the Eurovision Song Contest as her song ‘Snap’ becomes a viral summer sensation, whizzing up charts all over the globe.
‘Team Snap’ has revealed that the song has gained 4.2 million new listeners on Spotify, culminating in over 23 million streams, with a huge chunk of that audience originating in the United States of America, thanks in no small part to Snap’s success on TikTok and social media.

Armenia did what Austria or the Czech Republic couldn't: they had a song that wasn't competitive, still scored decently, but REALLY came to life after the contest via TikTok and Spotify. I'm happy for her! She deserves it.

Snap was and is a great song. It was in my top 10 at ESC22. Armenia has great singers. Qami Qami was my favorite JESC21 song and I look forward to Armenia hosting JESC22.
Me too plus Armenia were my 2020 winners, as I have stated many, many times. Snap is my fave song from a nation whose previous entry was my personal fave since Fairytale followed Hold On Be Strong (2008, 2012, 2015, 2018, 2020 and 2022 were golden years for ESC) and it means I like it more than Sound Of Silence and Beautiful Mess!

Whilst I felt sad when it was made clear that Athena, my 2020 winner and a great chance for Armenia to be top 10, maybe even national best, wouldn’t return, this song was the best possible replacement of her even though it wasn’t impactful.
It was very sweet, self written, and, like Athena, she endorsed my fanart of her (which, in the case of Rosa, I did it for all the 2021 acts, one at a time, before I actually heard the entries).
I particularly love the lyric “they say “just snap your fingers”, as if it was really that easy for me to get over you”, do to the emotions I felt regarding the country’s non-participation in 2021, when I really wanted Athena to be friends with 2020/21 entries like Dadi Freyr, James Newman, Jeangu Macrooy, Samanta Tina, Lesley Roy, and Benny Cristo, when the show was in Rotterdam, easy for the part time Hanoverian to promote music from and a great voting ally of Armenia, and when the final was on her birthday. I felt a lot angrier when told on March 5 2021 Armenia would withdraw than when I found out Athena would be replaced, as her output hasn’t been given the right support, and I knew Rosa Linn would be a good musician, at least better than Saro or Tokionine.
I really would like Athena to get her chance, but seeing how well Rosa Linn used hers, with this lovely song and staging, makes me feel proud, and her being in our top 40 for at least 2 weeks, even though we didn’t give it any points in the final, as has always been the case for Armenia (we’ve sometimes given them points in the semis - even our jury did in 2018), is a massive achievement.
This year 2022 the only two songs I still listening to date is spain (the Real winner of 2022) and this beautiful song from armenia🥰

The thing is this. There were better songs for Eurovision that did better than this at Eurovision, because they were designed specifically for Eurovisiob. But this song was always going to fit in outside of Eurovison much better, so I'm not surprised to see it trend and go viral away from the competition. So happy for Rosa. Now the song can grow organically without the confines of competition
