- Today I was out looking for half dollar rolls for my live stream channel over at KleshGuitarsTV (bit.ly/2FpIjHg). Well, it turned into the biggest silver score - over $1,000.00 in silver coins - I've ever found. Enjoy! I did!

Such a rare thing these days, walking into a bank and coming out with REAL money that means something :D Congratulations!!
It was awesome thanks!
someone likely got into their grandpas coin collection
Probably found them in a drawer when he died
Yep probably
@Gilbert Couillard If that was the case you'd sell them to a pawn shop for over 75% of spot price easy.
@@Rob_Fordd the pre-'65 half melt value at the moment is $7 each. Those 15 pre-65s alone are worth about $115.
My mother some years ago gave me a bag of 50's, she got them in Reno before they went with the newer slot machines.. in the bag were numerous collectables..
Still have about 100 coins left as people collect them, I get top value..
That’s an awesome score, congrats!! Being a coin collector, I’m wondering how a “customer” would have no idea they were all Silver. Just blowing my mind 🤯
Some people just don’t know
@@Klesh How do you sell that though? Do you melt it down or will a pawn shop just hand out a grand for those coins?
@@ants-in-my-eyesjohnson1271 Pawn shops aren't the place to go, you'd want to take these to a coin dealer, craigslist or ebay for the best deal.
We went to the bank the other day and my wife reminded me to ask for halves. We got $300 worth and found 33 - 40%ers and 6 - 90%ers in customer wrapped rolls.
Awesome score. Thank you for sharing
I only dream about going to the bank and them handing me rolls like you just got congratulations I still have hope
I hope for this every single day. My bank knows to keep an eye out for anything like this for me. Best I ever got in 1 roll was 6-40% and 1-90.
Me too, still can't belive that happend. Still didn't register fully !
@@mikeobie1or for themselves…. Serious issue, if they didn’t know before they know as soon as you ask
You one lucky dude. "My hands were shaking in the car all the way home"- if it was me those rolls would have been open before I left the parking lot.
Wow, amazing find, love to hear more about the unmarked bicentennial. Got loads of those here, figure they are common. Cheers Shane!
Unmarked bicentennial are very common, over half a billion minted. However, Silver with no mint mark are extremely rare and valuable.
Your videos are inspiring! Congrats man, that's a nice haul!
Glad you like them!
KleshGuitars out of context: Look at my fingers. I'm all like, they're like turning black and stuff. This is awesome."
Hmmmm riiiight
This is crazy! I am a coin collector and that is what my channel is mainly about. I would die of a heart attack before I counted all of the silver! Congrats!
Would I be allowed to have the silver after you're gone? :D
Wow great that you have a coin channel good luck with it!
@@Klesh Wow! Thanks! Would you consider subscribing? I also do gold panning at Arapahoe bar!
I went into a local bank and asked if they had any half dollars, they said yes they had gotten in $390 worth of them. I bought them all and got home to go through them. The first roll I dumped in my hand was all walking liberty half's. Out of the $390 worth of half's I ended up with 30 walking liberty half's, 28 Ben Franklin half's, 22 of the 1964 90% and 109 of the 40% that were all S mint mark proof coins in outstanding condition. My best day ever on searching half's and I will probably never beat that day. Thought I had a repeat coming a few months later when the first roll I dumped in my hand had 18 walking liberty halfs in it, but that was the only 90% I found that day...
Good find ...and you forgot to mention the 2 bands for the hair lol pp
Two bands for hair? What?
Dude Gold pesos are awesome! Ive even switched from constitutional to %50 and %90 silver pesos! The gold pesos are a great price currently in my area but when dips happen i love grabbing a 1/4 or 1/2 eagle for sure
This video was simply amazing! When you said someone played a joke my heart dropped lol. So happy for you man.
Loving the NES controller lurking in the corner 😂
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome find. What a score 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Congratulations klesh! If anyone deserves this find.... its definitely you!
Thanks!
Man that’s awesome congratulations I recently got $5 face value in half’s and that’s my biggest score so far!
Great score!
Well that was fun , I can only imagine how much fun you had!! Way to go
That was nuts for sure thanks for watching and for the comment!
Maybe missing s mint mark error, get it looked at. Or do silver test on it 🤔 would love an update. If it is silver and missing mint mark is probably worth decent amount
11.34 grams, but it's worn pretty well. 11.50 is silver. 11.50 is the weight of a 40% clad in uncirculated condition.
@@Klesh yeah and regular clad is 11.34.. 🤔
Hey there Klesh! Congrats on the epic score. This is almost 1 year exactly after my epic score of 20 complete rolls (well, a couple had one clad)!
Sweet score. I can tell in your voice how excited you was. Thanks for sharing brother⚒⚒👍👍
I was
this is amazing! lucky you!
Thanks!
The 1976 if it is silver then it came from the 1976 Bicentennial Silver uncirculated set. The set has a 40% half 40% Eisenhower and a 40% quarter
But aren't they S mint marks?
@@Klesh I just looked and you are correct. I thought the S mint mark where just from the proof set. But they were both minted in San Francisco
6:36 sounds like a family guy set up
That awesome, a great place to get quarters to search through is the local car wash.
Good idea , do you have to ask the owner for access to the quarters? not sure how this is done.
@@Klesh the car washes here in PA and I assume other states have a quarter machine out front to trade bills for coins. I just put a 20 in, use $2.75 to rinse my truck off and bring the rest home.
Awesome!! Being a NEPA native...i love watching ur channel...and u are friends with all the peeps I watch and stay on contact with.... Dan, Pauly, Chris, and etc.. 👍♌
Yes we are
I'd walk back into the same one ask if there's more lol
That's it. A collectors' survivor didn't know or want to know about 'value'. They wanted face in a different form.
I did, that's all they had.
@@MarkH10 we have told our kids that if something happens to us DO NOT just cash our $$ in at the bank because it is worth more than just face value.
@@LockerLootersIN take them and some coins to a coin shop or show and get some offers while they watch.
I had a friend whose Mom tossed thousands of dollars worth of his collectable comics while he was in the military, and his parents denied they had value. So he took a few from what she did not find, and his Dad to a show. His first 3 sales brought in $750. He said, Dad, she threw out 60 comics this good as collectables, and they were in my room. She gained nothing, no closet space no garage space, she changed nothing in my room, just threw out thousands of dollars for no reason. Don't allow any unknowing mistakes because they weren't shown at least once.
I like how you are playing the quiet guitar music to cover up your excited giggling.
Wow! What a haul. Nice find. Just goes to show you that treasure is still out there somewhere.
You got that right!
Score! Really lucked out. Easy money! 💸💸💸
You got that right!
I used to do this. Never scored near this much. But maybe time to try again.
I have been doing coin roll hunting from Bank since 2012 and this is the best I’ve ever gotten
Your blue toning u described is from the blue marker they wrote the date on the paper rolls. Not toning!
Maybe!
Never gave that any thought they are just jingle in your pocket.I best start looking huh? Thanks Shane David out
Always keep an eye open for silver in circulation if you're in the USA - We're one of the last places you can still find it!
Wow dude! What a score! Now that truly is easy money!
All i had to do was ask, thanks for watching!
I still do that. I have a few nicely toned Morgans. Always fun. Cheers!
I work in a bank and when I used to be a teller, I would buy rolls like these for myself. If people came in with old rolls like this we would buy them and split them all. It’s crazy how people don’t understand the value of some of these things if you just pay a little attention
Got the paydirt, went through it nice and slow. Repanned it and pulled a decent amount. .5 grams plus and a nice piece of amethyst. Thanks bud
Awesome find. Well done
I recently bought 3 pre-decimal Australia silver coin albums at a country antique fair for $90. Sold 2 albums for $220 & selling the 3rd album coins with 31 florins individually. So far sold 4 florins for $60.
Nice!
Payback, lol
Wow classic old silver coins
You deserve my respect
Sorry for asking about the name's
I don't see my name 😂
Thanks 🙏
awesome video Shane and also a tip there are 90% 65 silver quarters but they are rare...
Yep! There's also silver 1971 and 1977 half dollars out there
@@Klesh yeah I believe those are more rare I have yet to come across any of the rare half dollars but I have come across about 5 1965 silver quarters in the 41 years I have been alive lol
Congratulations! What an amazing find! Silver is so attractive!! 😊
I was just thinking this week about a different video you made from going to the bank on a sunny day and scoring old fifty cent pieces! I marvel at your ingenuity and may try to copy you. JaBe
Please do and keep us updated on your luck!
That is crazy. Congrats.
There are tons of these coins out there. The price for 1964 Kennedys and Franklin halves is extremely low.
For 9 to 12 dollars per ounce you have to have a lot of spare time to make any money.
Got any for sale? I’ll buy them for 9-12 an ounce all day long. Email me, will buy everything at that price
Dude. That is every coin hunters dream ! Good score
Not sure you would really feel a difference in weight by hand . The weight difference is so small from silver to non silver . But what an awesome buy one in million
Thanks! I do know a roll of 90% silver compared to a regular clad roll weights a lot more. The 40% can't really feel it.
What a awesome score!
Klesh, I am a big fan of stacking, and have had great success @ Estate sales. I like to go check them out early in the sale, and if they have some junk silver / coin collections I will return right before they are closing on the final day of the sale. Most times they are willing to negotiate so I can get what ever they have left at a good price. The pandemic has slowed things down some, but in March , 2020 I scored about 8 and a half pounds of pre-'64, US mint, 90% silver halves, quarters, and dimes for.........wait for it...........$300 cash. That "Junk" is worth about $3,000 today. Sweet Score, not the first time either. Keep on Stacking !
great find, can't wait for that to happen for me one day.
Glad to be part of that 42% bro
Thanks@!
Literally the stuff dreams are made of!
If I found this I would have a heart attack
Nice ROI worth the drive for sure. Thanks for sharing and great score for you. Miss your CRH's too.
You and me both!
Reminds me of the time I went into the oldest bank in town and asked if they had a roll of twenty dollar coins. She said there was no such thing and I said there used to be so could you check. She did and came back and said the biggest we got is 5 dollars and a couple two and a half dollar rolls.
Whoa...you mean Gold coins? That is crazy do you have pictures? Share that on my discord! Link in description wow!
@@Klesh No, I was just kidding but it would be fun to ask some of the banks that. Get the right old bank and the right young bank teller that doesn't know about gold coins and maybe there will be an old roll back there. Just wishful thinking.
only ever gotten rolls once and it was all 80's and 90's but they are good coins for magic tricks
True! Persistence pays off trust me
Wow man! I would check back everyday lol. Was the walker and benjis in my rolls? Just kidding lol man thats an awesome score right there.
Thanks!
Lucky!!! Congrats Klesh. Nice score
Thanks!
I checked my albums, both the silver 1976 halves do have the s mint mark. I get those silver looking halves once in a while that aren't silver when roll hunting. Maybe just an over bleed of the nickel when pressed? I think I put a couple aside because I swear they are silver. Maybe check the weight? Amazing score btw! 👍
Yeah I will check the week I’m not really sure what that coin is but I am keeping it safe for now
I'm glad you scored, but I feel bad for the person who just handed that over to the bank. lol.
If I may make a clarification/correction...Not all 1970 halves are silver. The only silver ones were part of proof sets.
Incorrect. All 1970 halves are 40% silver. 1971-present day (unless silver proof coins) are copper nickel clad.
Talk bout Robbin the bank with their back turned 😂🤣
Congrats. Awesome buy
Thank you
This is really cool stuff Shane, im happy you struck lucky.
Thanks a lot Matt I appreciate that!
That’s a great score Shane. It happens. Some people bring silver coins to their bank and deposit them for face value. I’m happy if I can find one silver half dollar in a box!
Yeah finding $140 face value in one shot is extremely rare
Holy Cow!! That is absolutely amazing! What a find! Good for you Klesh! That is definitely the find of the year! 👍😎
I am one of the 42%
I agree and thanks so much for being one of the 42%!
Very neat! I really didn't think this was possible anymore...outside of personal collections...I'm in Northern Michigan and I've got a buddy who was constantly going to the bank and ordering rolls...strikes out every time.
Its getting about time to visit those garage sales too.
He shoots....he scores.......cheers!
Thanks!
All the months I’ve struggled with ones and twos or zeroes. My record box is 5 40%ers. Amazing stuff.
Yeah 71 is to new on the pesos but previous years did come in %10 and %50 before that... awesome score
Congratulations. What a score!
Thanks!
Awesome find Shane. Big score on the silver.
Thanks!
You got the Midas touch on this one Shane! Cha Ching! 👍
I think you're right
lol first 15 seconds klesh acts like he is robbing the bank
Very nice score Shane. Way to treasure hunt right there!! Congrats
Thanks I was surprised as well! Thank you
congratulations on your good fortune!
Thanks
Unreal! Nice score.
Yes it was!
So I’m a teller and have had $180 in half dollars for weeks in my vault. Can’t sell back unless $500 and nobody has asked for them. I went in today dreaming about your pull. Well I went through all of them and only found 6 40% halves. Not bad but I was hoping for a nice score.
What camera do you use for recording like this? :) Great quality and that zoom man...
I have a few cameras used in this video - Beginning scene is my iphone. The at home studio footage is a canon 80d with a 24-70 f2.8 L series lens, and the green screen camera is just a cheap walmart logitech webcam the 920 i think.
very cool! congrats on the serendipitous bank moment. I have some half dollars & a bunch of other random old coins. I should unearth my collection and see which ones are silver :^)
Good luck!
I ordered your paydirt and it’s stuck in a Denver sorting facility. Seems pretty silly considering I live like 25 mins away from you. I bought 2 bags of beginner for my kids and they bug me everyday about it.
You get it yet?
Nope. Still stuck in Denver.

@@Klesh I have it now Shane. No worries man. It wasn’t your fault. It got lost in a Denver sorting facility.
A Head Teller friend of mine told me she tried to talk an older lady out of turning in a bill that was clearly over 70 years old and in great shape.
The lady insisted she just wanted the hundred.
So the Head Teller had another teller make a change bill action for her, and she sold the collectable bill for over $500.
People not around collecting or respecting their family that are collectors will do this type of thing all day long.
Sounds like the Silver Eagle a lady in front of me in line at the store used to pay for part of her groceries. She didn't look like she needed to use that silver as a dollar. Maybe she didn't know any better.
The cashier also didn't know any better. I bought it from her for $1.
Wow!
You never know what you are going to find... WOW that's awesome!!
You got that right!
WOW.. that was crazy luck!
Thanks!
Don't forget about "War" nickels, 42'-45', are 35% silver.
Never forget the war nickles!
Awesome work klesh 👍
Thanks 😁
There was a bicentennial 40% half. It came in a set with a 40% quarter and dollar.Weigh it.
This coin is worn, so the weight would be expected to be a bit lighter. This weighs 11.35. But with no S mint mark??
@@Klesh hmm..I really do think it's supposed to have a San Francisco mint mark. I forgot about that. I agree about the wear the weight would be a little off. The only other thing I can suggest is trying the ping test as well as a magnet. You never know new discoveries happen all the time 🤷♀️ Either way FANTASTIC score!
Great score KleshGuitars. Congrats!
Thanks!
You have completely sold me on bank prospecting.
Keep us updated I’m sure you’ll find good stuff if you stick with it!
Congratulations! That’s awesome!
Thank you!!
About ten years ago I paid for something with a 50 cent piece. The girl working the counter called her supervisor. She had never seen a 50 cent piece and thought it was fake.
Same thing happened to me a few years ago when I tried to paly with a 2$ bill...
Are use half dollars all the time when buying things. This happens to me quite often as well
Hey Shane great video and lucky 🍀 you. Got to pan my Lynch mining pay dirt today wasn’t expecting much but had fun with my nephew doing it , learned my lesson to only by pay dirt from Klesh crums .com
Awesome man! I’m sorry it took so long for Lynch Mining to ship, LOL!
Man that was sick find
That was definitely the best ever
WOW that is a dream come true way to go.
Thanks!
Awesome score
Thanks!
Woah, epic find!!! 😱😱😱!!!
Thanks!
I’m late but wow. AMAZIN!!!!
Where do you sell these to grow your profit? Don't banks just swap them for face value?
Banks swap for face value yes. Take these to ebay, craigslist or coin shops. Avoid pawn shops, they don't pay much. Make sure you get as close to spot value as possible from whoever you sell them to.
Scored for sure
Recently I somehow stumbled on 5 rolls of silver half dollars at a gas station.
1 roll of 1964, the other 4 were 67-69. I go back every day, just to see if they have any more.
great score dude
Thanks!
