In our fourth episode on probabilistic weather forecasting, NWS Columbia lead meteorologist Emily Carpenter provides an overview of several probabilistic tropical weather products issued by the National Weather Service.
Calculating the Odds was created by NWS Columbia Science and Operations Officer (SOO) Frank Alsheimer and NWS Columbia meteorologist Steve LaVoie to help our users understand the various products issued by the National Weather Service and to encourage them to look beyond the deterministic forecasts.
