CSX B725 in Sherborn MA "Gateless Crossing" (7/13/11)

- Last tuesday we catch CSX B725 through Sherborn MA with a decent size train, but with only three locomotives. The amount of cars were lined up for miles. It took us about 5 minutes to get out of the parking lot. Enjoy
Thank you, and yes this line passes right through the parking lot at Gillette.
Around 6:45-7:15am you have a large freight train, 4-5 locos, and 30-70 cars.
At 11:45-12:30pm a 2-3 loco train with 10-30 cars passes Frosties.
At 12:30-2pm you have a 2 loco, 10-30 car freight train.
And at 11:15-11:45pm you have a 4-5 loco, 30-70 car freight train.
These are just the average times I've seen them past frosties/Sherborn.
Nice to know that someone else comes to this crossing to catch B725 in the morning. Maybe I'll run into you there some day.

+Mike Walsh thanks Matt, by the way when my train reached Walpole tonight around 8:15pm the yard was packed!! I think B733 may take about 30-40 cars north tonight before B725, all tracks were filled with freight cars.
Thanks for letting me know Tom! I won't see any trains tonight, as I would have missed it most likely. Also, did you get my e-mail? I talked to Kyle and he said B725 outlawed yesterday. I haven't heard B735 going by South Walpole yet, which is weird. Maybe they went right out to Franklin, and didn't have any Foxboro work tonight. I only catch B725 on Sunday night, as it is too risky on being short on the other nights. I am still disappointed I have never seen a big B725, 82 cars is the longest I have seen, nothing like when they used to do 125 cars in 2009-2011! Wish I was chasing them then! C&L Frosties is a great, I like their icecream, yeah the tracks run right behind Frosties, 4 trains pass by Frosties every day. I can send you the times if you want.
@glennk77 Very interesting, P47 was a great plane. Though this is a railroad line that only sees 4 CSX trains a day. I just put up a video of a CSX train stalled out on a crossing for over 15 minutes, now thats a long time.
I have been going to C&L Frosties(a resturaunt near the tracks)for years and have only seen one train.
@Pyroechidna1 Thats very possible , this was my second time catching him at this crossing, i mostly try to catch him in Medfield though, and if he's going slow enough i usually head over to Sherborn to catch him at this crossing.

@ericerock1000 I caught him at this crossing around 6:50am to 7:20am. But if you want to catch this train i advise you to catch it at the rt109 crossing because its alot easier. You can catch him in Medfield at the rt109 crossing from 6:15am-6:45am between those two times is when he usually comes by. I caught him three mornings in a row at 6:30am each time. Good luck if you decide on trying to catch this train!

My father flew a P47 and shot up trains in France in 1944. CSX should not block traffic for over 5 minutes.
They didn't think to cut the train or and a SD70? No GEVOs because I hate them.
