I always love the moment in these types of videos where that final crucial detail is added which allows my brain to instantly switch it from a bunch of vague lines to a realistic looking picture
I use to think spray paint art was some cheap tacky thing people did on the side of the street because it was easy to impress people with and I was never really impressed by it but seeing this channel really made me go “wow” enough times to think, this is awesome lol
You make this look ridiculously easy, just the part where you fold the paper over your hand after spray-painting some of it white is not as easy as you made it look. I had to practice folding the paper over like that a few times haha.
When choosing your spray paints, do you typically utilize a gloss, satin, or matte (flat) paint for your main black background? It would be interesting to see you do a video in regard to these three types of paints. How, and why (when), to use each of them. For example, when you make clouds, which type works best? I'm assuming a satin or matte white/gray would work best, but your insight into this facet would be awesome. Appreciate your videos. 👍 Thank you
@@AmethystVazquez1 Good to know, and thanks so much for your reply. You are very talented, and make this art medium look easy. I followed your Northern Lights video step by step. And for the record, it's NOT! 😂 During that video, you were spraying the verticals with a straight piece of what I think was poster board, and you commented in regard to people commenting about the paint building up too quickly, and dripping onto the work. Well, it happened to me as well, with lots of cursing ensuing. At that time you stated that the occurences might be related to the type of paper one is using. And you are absolutely correct about that. When I sprayed those verticals, and almost instantly got the drips, I was actually using the interior side of a cut up Tastykake Krimpets box. Which still has a very "wax" like, smooth surface. Ie...not absorbent AT ALL. I switched to a section of $1 store poster board, and it worked perfectly. The paint still began to build, but the board was porous enough to hold it all just long enough for me to get the first few lines done. Then I switched to a new one, and continued. No drips! Also, I did some more testing last night since I left my initial post, and found that Rust-oleum "Matte White" works better for making clouds than the Gloss White does, if you are trying to create a more "airy", or "see through" effect. The Matte paint seems to go on with more of a "dusty" effect, and is evident on the work, whereas the Gloss White's cloudy "dust" simply disappears, because it's clear. But you're right, it's definitely more shiny. Anyway, sorry for the novel, and thanks again for your reply. You are the best teacher I've found on YT so far. And your attitude rocks. I chuckled the whole way through your four ways to make ocean surfaces video...👍❤
Casey would prob tell you he's a beginner and no where at the level of AV because she's incredible and an awesome teacher, and both Tommy and Casey would just call you an asshole, like I am.
I haven't seen any comments like that. Anyone saying that probably doesn't realize that AV was posting spray paint art on youtube before those guys. While I like their channels too, they pretty much do the same couple of paintings over and over, just different colors. AV does landscapes and more palette knife work than those guys.
When busking i spray clear and spray white on the paper and pull & slide technique give it a try :) been doing spray art for tourists worldwide since 1990 nice mountains though :)
😮 crazy.......😊
Woaah..
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!
I'll have to try this out, I usually use a pallet knife for my mountains

Perfect madness.. mountain 🤯

I use all glossy. It's just how I learned and it makes the painting so shiny ✨️ 😌

Insane whoever thought of such a simple technique that looks so realistic
That’s awesome! Thanks for the tutorial I’m gonna practice that because my mountains aren’t that great so I’ll try out your technique
красивая девка, респект родителям
Truly amazing
Keep showing us these methods
That looks amazing! I wonder what Bob Ross (RIP) would think of these? I love them, so much less to clean up.
That's rad!!!
As it should be
I love your work my love....I have to ask and it prolly don't matter but do you use a certain rattle can brand?
It doesn't really matter, everyone preferences are different but I use hardcore
I get it all foggy and grey,
And sometimes I get just my fingers like 4 lines 😵
That's wild I could watch this kind of shit all day lol
I love u
Do you add more white on the paper sheet when you drag it after a couples of times?
I love you
What do you do with all of these paintings?
If they know we can shape shift, they'll burn us at the stake!
Bet I could still screw that up😂
HEY! Thats cheating!
What do you say to the people saying "Your just copying TommyWellsWells and caseydoeseverything"
Casey would prob tell you he's a beginner and no where at the level of AV because she's incredible and an awesome teacher, and both Tommy and Casey would just call you an asshole, like I am.
I just ignore it. They have their art and style, I have mine. The comments that claim were copying each other are ridiculous

Girl you make my mountain peak all snowy
Do you have email so I can contact you direct please?!
I want to marry you
When busking i spray clear and spray white on the paper and pull & slide technique give it a try :) been doing spray art for tourists worldwide since 1990 nice mountains though :)
I will, thank you!
