Best of all, he motivates Rolf to be better than him.

FEs growth rates have inflated like crazy as the series went on. Im sure any non pre-promote's growths in Fates are better than anyones in the first like 10 games. Except maybe an Est like character.

Awakening's voice acting was excellent and it easily set the bar for the whole series. I can understand other criticisms of the game, but not this one.
Playing this as a 12 year old boy, I really thought the cut scenes were awesome. Looking back now I still think they're super cool, maybe it's just nostalgia but who knows. Great game regardless.

Actually, if you train Rolf, he becomes really really strong. Even stronger than Haar. And I always take him to the final arc because he really becomes unbeatable when trained. Most of the time he would do critical attacks or do his special deadeye attack.

After being away from Radiant Dawn for so long, it's remarkable just how well these sequences are done. The voice acting is definitely a weak point (with the exceptions of Ranulf and Shinon). But the music and animations are wonderful. I hope to see Fire Emblem continue to feature these kinds of animation in future titles. Hopefully the Switch has a game in production.

Aside from having tails, and sometimes strange ears and face paint(which is actually a good look the way they wear it), the Laguz look like beorcs(or beorcs look like laguz LOL), albeit attractive beorcs. I think the beorcs are all just jealous of the Laguz and their looks. It's the only answer xD

The voice acting in this game has definitely improved from path of radiance (And of course, it seems the last cutscene is always Ike's best) The only voice acting problem I have with this game is Yune's voice... But other than that, They did great! :D

Love radiant dawn and the other Fire Emblem games, but is it just me, or does Skrimir sound a little more mature in the cutscenes than whenever we read his dialogue?
I thought the same thing watching it myself. It's like he's more level-headed than he was... but then again, the first scene where the cats/tigers charge. It's missing a huge chunk of the story where Zelgius and Skrimir battle. The following cutscene where they are looking at the sky pre-stone statues is after Skrimir has been humbled a bit.
after being defeated by Zelguis, Skrimir suffered a great hit to his pride forcing him to contain his more impulsive actions. that is why he is more calm later in the game.
I wish we could get a war focused "Front lines" Fire emblem like Radiant Dawn, because the moral grays and warfare aspects were what gave the tellius games immeasurable charm.
I'm here because I felt nostalgic playing Three Houses. :/ Its really been a long time since we have seen a Fire Emblem on a home console (the 3ds ones are great don't get me wrong). More than a decade has past but I'll always treasure how both PoR and RD made me fall in love with the Fire Emblem series.
The scene where Ike attacks the black knight and the scene with the generic soldier and laguz are by far the best cutscenes in the game. Both scenes aren't held back by the... Interesting voice acting, and both scenes convey meaning through no dialogue. It's beautiful.
I always jokingly refer to the generic Begnion soldier and the generic tiger in that very last scene as the true heroes of Tellius, Their ability to just get along and stop fighting is the impetus for the era of peace that follows. XD
If we could get a combined remake of PoR and RD with new, better voice acting and updated to better hardware (including the cutscenes) that would probably be my favorite game, maybe topping Xenoblade Chronicles
To be honest, I really don't find the voice acting that bad at all. Sure Mist's was bad, her PoR voice should have stayed but everyone else range's from Pretty good to really good. I especially like Ike's voice acting, something about the fact that he isn't voiced by a professional voice actor makes him sound more natural. Plus the cutscenes themselves are absolutely beautiful, especially for a game that came out in 2007 and isn't even HD.
Just realise this for virtual console already! I want to play this game so bad that I don't care how hard it is as people said and trying to find a physical copy is hard. Don't even bother buying one online as they can sell it to you at a higher price
optimusN64 imho this is one of the best, but it's also by far the least accessable of the western released games, so... also, don't make the mistake I did, go for Path of Radiance first.

Radiant Dawn was my best game of last generation, by far. Awesome in every single way.

The cutscenes in this game are really beautiful ! (except the voices XD... Ike's voice doesn't suit him a lot :/)

The voice acting in this game has definitely improved from path of radiance (And of course, it seems the last cutscene is always Ike's best) The only voice acting problem I have with this game is Yune's voice... But other than that, They did great! :D

I love of all the cutscenes, including the voice acting (although I wish Janaff, Ashera, Geoffery, Naesala and Reysom were shown). In fact, I wish there were more cutscenes that showed more of the characters and gave more voices. the voice acting isn't all that bad, especially considering the game was made in 2007. I wish all of the characters had voices. and i could give a short list of reasons why some of the characters sound the way they do, but I'm to tired. just stop complaining and remember how good the game, story, and characters are

This game was so good, The characters were awesome and badass, the story was fantastic, gameplay was beyond amazing, Soundtrack was kickass, And idk why people are complainig about the voice acting it was great, there will always be something peiple want to find wrong with a great game, just take it for what it is and enjoy the epicness of Fire embelm!

Love radiant dawn and the other Fire Emblem games, but is it just me, or does Skrimir sound a little more mature in the cutscenes than whenever we read his dialogue?
I thought the same thing watching it myself. It's like he's more level-headed than he was... but then again, the first scene where the cats/tigers charge. It's missing a huge chunk of the story where Zelgius and Skrimir battle. The following cutscene where they are looking at the sky pre-stone statues is after Skrimir has been humbled a bit.
after being defeated by Zelguis, Skrimir suffered a great hit to his pride forcing him to contain his more impulsive actions. that is why he is more calm later in the game.
When Ike is in fights, his voice sounds so dull, but when he's casually talking to someone, his voice sounds so natural. Cmon Nintendo.
I wish we could get a war focused "Front lines" Fire emblem like Radiant Dawn, because the moral grays and warfare aspects were what gave the tellius games immeasurable charm.
I love how the soldiers on lookout at the beginning think that a baby bird flying out of a crack in a wall is suspicious

I'm here because I felt nostalgic playing Three Houses. :/ Its really been a long time since we have seen a Fire Emblem on a home console (the 3ds ones are great don't get me wrong). More than a decade has past but I'll always treasure how both PoR and RD made me fall in love with the Fire Emblem series.

The scene where Ike attacks the black knight and the scene with the generic soldier and laguz are by far the best cutscenes in the game. Both scenes aren't held back by the... Interesting voice acting, and both scenes convey meaning through no dialogue. It's beautiful.

I always jokingly refer to the generic Begnion soldier and the generic tiger in that very last scene as the true heroes of Tellius, Their ability to just get along and stop fighting is the impetus for the era of peace that follows. XD

If we could get a combined remake of PoR and RD with new, better voice acting and updated to better hardware (including the cutscenes) that would probably be my favorite game, maybe topping Xenoblade Chronicles

To be honest, I really don't find the voice acting that bad at all. Sure Mist's was bad, her PoR voice should have stayed but everyone else range's from Pretty good to really good. I especially like Ike's voice acting, something about the fact that he isn't voiced by a professional voice actor makes him sound more natural.
Plus the cutscenes themselves are absolutely beautiful, especially for a game that came out in 2007 and isn't even HD.
The fighting here is more better because it involves more physical combat with the body then a sword.
Just realise this for virtual console already! I want to play this game so bad that I don't care how hard it is as people said and trying to find a physical copy is hard. Don't even bother buying one online as they can sell it to you at a higher price

optimusN64 imho this is one of the best, but it's also by far the least accessable of the western released games, so... also, don't make the mistake I did, go for Path of Radiance first.
I would love to get path of raidence, the last time I saw it, was at page 3's gamezone. (They have a CZcams channel) but it was like $100 and I was like "nope not paying that much for a game"
You can get 4 and 5 using emulators and that arc is probably up to par with the radiant series (in my opinion).

Is it just me or are their grunts when attacking sound like the Japanese ones? I mean, just pay attention to Boyd's during the Lucia rescue & Ike's in the batttle with the Black Knight.
