- She is finally here. The daughter of Nyx, who sniffs out evil and crushes skulls left and right. Indeed, she will be a great asset to the cause and hold on- She's on guard duty?
Honestly, order of interactions has lost me. But generally, interactions tend to be quite scattered in-game, so again, dialogues were arranged as coherent as possible.

Interesting that Hecate specifically cites Eris as one of Nyx's rebellious daughters. As the goddess of Discord, I'm sure she's having an absolute field day during this current crisis.

The development would be very satisfying.
I find with things stopping at friend. People see her as Mel’s Megaera but she’s more like Alecto.
@@lunerblade13 I could see that. I do find it interesting here is that we'll see Mel's full development between Nem and Moros, while Zag appeared to have already have a pre-existing relationship prior to the game.
@@Hamstir4 another thing worth noting is that Mel doesn’t have her brothers chill. She is prone to more abrasive confrontation with nemesis
I wonder if Mel will have more to choose from than just the ex, the pining, and the platonic options.

A lot of folks pegged Nem as the Megaera analog of Hades 2...But based on this and depending on how things go, I think she might be more like for Mel what Hades was for Zag.

Y'know, I felt this too. I think the relationship between Mel and Nem is different from Zag and Meg if you ask me. It could still work, but the develop looks rough since Nem views Mel as a lapdog to Hecate.
@Hamstir4 i mean, the relationship between zag and meg was super rough too. Zag just had a more charismatic personality of sorts. But it did improve over time
@@Bears5056 it’s interesting because I don't recall if Hades 1 went into details between Zag and Meg, only that Zag screwed up and hurt her. The conflict between the two was personal and Zagreus apologized.
The conflict between Nem and Mel are quite different in that they clash in ideology. If Nem and Mel were going to work, they'd have to agree on a few things or two. Which could happen and has already kinda happened. Mel went to Hecate and stated she worked hard too.
If I could be honest nemesis to Mel is more like Alecto then megaera, someone who will always be on Mel’s case and will take the entire game just to get a respectful compromise out of the two.
So Hecate's basically their babysitter

She says it in the most asshole way possible but she does have a point about Hecate sending Mel on foot alone. That's kinda hm. Actually she makes a lot of good points
Mel does sound like the perfect distraction to keep Kronos busy, she is incapable of properly dying.From Hecate's point of view, I don't think she currently expects of Mel to truly deal the finishing blow.But she does expect from Kronos to use his powers to try and stop her, meaning that by keeping the big ol' scythe sociopath busy, the gods have another advantage point in their stake against the Titans!
Also, she would perhaps reveal their hideout if she magically transported her in the middle of Kronos' forces.
@@visionofsolace8961 other interactions in the tech test suggest that his attacks on Olympus are odd and actually are distracting him from looking at Mel. In the tech test, Mel never enters his radar
@@aolremembers9450 so it's the other way around, she is sneaking up on the enemy behind his lines, btw what I meant is, as we progress, Hecate will be more sure that Mel can kill Kronos again, but I think, considering that he is reffered to as time itself, we will have to kill him, many, many times.
@@visionofsolace8961 "As we progress" we the audience know this, as we know we're playing a video game and that's inevitable. The characters don't, however. For all they know Mel could spend another 1000 years stuck in Erebus or in the next section. Heck, Artemis points out that Olympus doesn't think she has a chance at winning. It doesn't change Nem's point however.
Nemesis is all about retribution - consequences come to you cause you did something(s) to invoke them. Mel in all senses - did nothing to invoke such consequences. Unlike Hecate who failed (hence Nem's argument with her) or Nem herself cause it's her job, Mel's only "crime" was being born to Hades and Pesephone. What did she do to deserve dying a billion times to get a shot at fighting Chronos, which to the characters, she might not even win? Why does she have to bear this struggle, and alone at that? Not saying I agree with Nem's POV (it's obvious she doesn't have the faith in Mel's capabilities the way Hecate does) but it's a fascinating insight into a very contrarian character and it proves she's not just simply a Hater, but coming from a certain POV
Right, she wouldn't have a reason to exist if her POV was false. and I wouldn't be surprised if Nemesis would have specific dialogues addressing what you said. Ofc, the players are aware of the nature of the game, but when Mel and Nemesis find out the Task involved repeatedly slaying Chronos time and time again, the question does arise, Does Mel deserve this? and I have a feeling Hecate knew Mel would be held captive to this Task forever.

However, if you ask me, I think it's Supergiant's way of saying she'll be MIA going about. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my hat.

Same, she gets sat down here by Hecate. But I predict as the story goes on, Nemesis may score some points here and there.
You may like Pseudo from Clash: Artifacts of Chaos and Cherry from Cookie Cutter. Both games from 2023 with protagonists who speak their mind and just get out there to get things done.
Both are *very* strong artistically with solid gameplay, but Cookie Cutter is a lot more bloody and brutal. Clash: AoC is a bit more grounded, but kind of like if a Dark Crystal-type world was a martial arts movie.

Definitely a lot meaner than Meg but just as hot... bet we'll learn a lot more on release but here's hoping she wins me over like Moros definitely has

I think one of the most interesting things is when Nem talks about Chronos.
I think its fascinating to see how Nem is so sympathetic towards Mortals while Meli is incredibly dismissive towards them. Considering how the Olympic gods have been consistently awful to mortals... Maybe Nem isn't entirely wrong to wonder if they deserve this.
That dialogue hit me the most, I had to pause there, unexpected how self-aware Nemesis was here.
We could say she’s sympathetic, more specific to deserving mortals, but her hobby is sniffing out and crushing the “bad” mortals. Passionate was a word I was thinking for her ^ I’m curious how much he says about the Golden age were true. Hecate implies it’s a lie, but Nemesis claims the intent might’ve been genuine.
I love a good enemies-to-lovers pipeline. Hope our guesses are right and Supergiant makes her romanceable.
I would enjoy the developments along the way, and we know the writers know what we want lmao
And Mel isn't spineless either. Nemesis seems to love blaming what happened to her own family to both Hecate and Mel's backstory.

She was born at the mouth of Cocytus, one of the rivers of the underworld, while her mother was sleeping on the riverbank and Hermes in his underworld aspect as psychopomp was stationed. Hermes kept the souls of Cocytus in a state of stability as the birth of Melinoe was causing the dead to experience madness and lucidity due to her being a goddess of ghosts whilst Hecate aided in Melinoe’s delivery.
Melinoe was born after her older sister Macaria and before her younger brother Zagreus. Also, she has her eyes are Black Voids. Melinoe is a combination of her parents, so she is said to have a mysterious and sad appearance like a combination of both, which means she has black and white hairs.
Her left side is her black dark, cold-hearted, and the coldness of the underworld from her father Hades when Melinoe cold-hearted and doesn’t talk too much with her older sister Macaria because Melinoe said that she is a virgin deity that mean she never married. And for her right side is her white light, kind-hearted, and the warm beauty of spring flowers from her mother Persephone when she loves her little younger brother Zagreus because Melinoe promised to her parents that she has to protect and take care of Zagreus.
Moreover, Melinoe is the goddess who accepted sacrifices offered to the ghosts of the dead and capturing escaped souls back to the Underworld.

She has such a hater energy, hope she gets a cool character arc
Her character is already quite compelling. She comes off as mean or a hater, but she's mostly calling out the bs. We can't depend on the Fates and not much progress has happened over the years. I think her character will elevate further if a lot of her points are proven right.
I'm veery curious about her whole backstory.

I don't think you're entirely wrong here. There's def some tension, and enough material for the ships lmao. But I don't think its fully developed yet.
Anybody notice certain characters you meet are wielding weapons zagreus used in the last game. Nemesis is using a sword zag used.
You're right that it's from the last game. One of Zag's sword can become the Aspect of Nemesis, it's highly likely Nemesis reclaimed her sword back.
She definitely does remind me a lot of Meg I guess it might be because of the sultry ness in her voice. Plus she seems like a very serious type of woman. Definitely what Meg was. They took both their jobs very seriously. And neither of them had a really close relationship with their siblings.
She has a lot of similarities to Meg ^ I think where she differs, she honors Nyx specifically, rather than the House. Meg was very obedient under Hades and Nyx, who wouldn't even strike Hades if Zag would call for her aid initially. I believe Nemesis would go out of her way disobeying orders if she found it more productive.
I honestly kinda like how Nemesis points out that Chronos' rule was better for humans and how she contemplates how it might be just retribution for the Gods to be subjugated by him.
I mean, considering all the atrocities the gods are responsible for putting humanity through, even if it's just specific humans to sparking entire wars, they do deserve some retribution in turn for what they've made people suffer through.
I agree with this take ^ assuming Chronos's Golden Age was truly better for mortals, Nem has some moral conflict going on.
Chronos has done awful things, but the gods had their fair share of sins too. Nem is in a tight predicament.
