@@azraelfaust487 Nunes and Valentina rule over empty divisions. The 115 womens division is every bit as competitive and talent stacked as mens 155. Not all title defenses are equal - Joanna defending in dominant fashion over Karolina and Andrade is way more impressive than Nunes starching a Megan Anderson who barely threw 3 shots before crumpling.

Not that she can't physically lift Rose but that she'll expose her arm for Rose to grab on to. But Cruz did not expect Andrade to power through Rose. Andrade clearly felt the strength difference otherwise she wouldn't have done that, she felt she'd just power through Rose.

The first fight I have seen Esparza, was in 2019 against Virna Jandiroba, and then I saw his other 3. Carla is on a streak of 4, and what I saw in her fights was the same as before, seeking to dominate her opponent on the ground, I would not say that she improved, the last time she finished someone, it was Rose.
@@Nick-ec1hs esparza has improved but nowhere near as much as rose, her game is still as one dimensional as ever. She's a tough wrestler but she was back then too.
Zhang is an absolute monster.

Well you can't fault Rogan for that, Rose was known back then as a submission specialist and was a huge underdog coming into that fight. The last thing anyone expected was for Rose to knock Joanna down and finish her with strikes.

Damage has a way of influencing the scoring. JJ took some serious damage that night, possibly career altering. I would like to see her fight again though, she's still top-tier of the division and her fights are fun to watch.

No doubt, her leg was twitching for a awhile too. But, she bounced back well enough to challenge the champ. Can't wait
It was entirely avoidable, if Rose just let that kimura go...
And that was after a 13-month layoff while she was recovering from stenosis. Ironically, her headaches cleared up after that, so Andrade kind of cured her. đ

No 115 champ besides Joanna has ever defended the belt more than once. 2 of them (Esparza and Andrade) didn't even manage a single defense. Joanna has 5. She may not be on her hottest streak right now, but in the division which is far and away the most competitive female division in MMA history (hell, it's more competitive than mens 125, 185, 205, and HW), her champ reign is one of the most impressive female MMA resumes ever.

Yeah rose evolved fast. She has been fighting the best of the best since her pro debut. She only has 14 pro fights and is on her 3rd title shot. Just shows how good and how much she had improved

I forgot how terrible ROSE was against CARLA. I did remember how terrible CARLA was against JOANNA though. ROSE returned much improved against JJ. ANDRADE made ROSE want to end her career. WEILI quickly destroyed ANDRADE. Now the upcoming WEILI versus ROSE is anybody's guess.
Rose is good, but i still think weilli will overwhelm her. They are not competing in the same league. I think weilli can be a tougher competition to valentina than andrade
@@jonathankabasele985 I think Rose's movement is miles beyond Weili, I can't believe Weili took all that punishment from Joanna and just kept walking forward like a Chuck Liddell.
@@artiew8718 Rose's footwork was miles ahead of Andrade but she still got the worst of both encounters. If that had been a five rounder instead of only 3 during the rematch Rose would've lost. She was ahead on the scorecards but every time Andrade connected she was doing damage and hurting her. Weili has better technique than Andrade as well as hitting power and a decent ground game. Her chances against Rose are pretty good.

@Eating Danger As good as Rose's boxing is she was still getting caught by Andrade. And Weili has fast hands herself plus she hits harder than Rose. If Zhang can take Rose off of her game enough to give her a critical strike she can turn it to her advantage. Rose can win by decision only but Zhang has the best chance of finishing her imo.
