      @@fls128 I second that. I think a Boss like the Lothric Brothers would be more fitting. Because you are literally fighting the strongest creature that currently exists so why would it be super slow and predictable where the only difficult factor is huge aoe + holding an attack for 5 seconds. Not that i dont like it being hard (for me atleast) its just how it is made to be hard. Is it hard because every attack throws you off and they arent hard to dodge its just because they are weird you just have to learn them and cant instinct it? Or is it hard because the attacks flow together in a flurish of attacks where every dodge needs to be reflex because you dont have time to look at each muscle movement? I prefer the second

Then again I struggled on Radagon/Elden beast when people say that was easy so to each his own I suppose.

      No. To say Radagon is the problem shows you don't fucking get it. It is literally impossible to not get hurt against the Elden Beast, who actively flees from you. The Elden Star doesn't go away when it hits you. You can't outrun it. You can't dodge it. You can't jump over. And that's just the one attack. Never mind that piece of shit pulsing ground stab. Or the rune arc slash that is completely undodgeable if you weren't already hugging it or too far from it.
      Radagon is fucking broken. Just run up to him before he turns around at the start of the fight. He will not react to you. Nor will he react to arrows, bolts, and probably magic. As long as you do not hit him with your melee or stance break him, he will not act at all. Effectively skipping his fight entirely.
      And you wanna know the funny part? The Elden Beast is similarly broken. Although I don't know how you can consistently cause it to just sit there.

    It's impossible to not take damage in the final boss. The triple super cone Radagon does can't be jumped and the final one can't be dodged unless you PAST him into an area he hadn't previously covered. And then there's Elden Star. What in the actual fuck. Why is it doing so much damage!? It is literally unavoidable. You can't jump it. Dodging is meaningless. You can't outrun it. And the track is too good, the big star will always hit you at least once.

      If you run away as the attack starts, further out the AoE gets lower. You can jump all three of the waves at that range, and then get a free jumping R2 at the end.

    It seems I am the only one to actually really enjoy the final fight, whilst I do agree that Radagon might need a fix to allow for healing and to make the aoe attacks more consistent, the elden beast is very clear with what its going to do and as soon as you learn an attack you seldom ever get hit again by it. Elden Beast also gives you so many opportunities to heal back up again when it dashes away so you'll never accidently get killed by one of its weaker/intermediate attacks unless you have run out of health potions.
    I also believe it is very fair that the final boss of the game should be one of the hardest, not necessarily the hardest but it I believe most would agree that Malenia beats Elden Beast/Radagon in terms of difficulty so there isn't even that issue, and the difficulty not only thematically fits the game as well as the story, but it also fits as a way to make the player feel proud that they have completed the game, they have diligently served many hours to slay a god, and they have completed the famously difficult and unforgiven game of Elden Ring.
    All that being said I f***ing hate that homing missile elden beast does...

    • @axelnova123
      @axelnova123 Před 2 lety +4

      The homing missile and the constant running completely ruins the Elden Beast boss fight for me. Radagon's ceaseless and unpredictable teleports, paired with true combos that make you take an additional hit whenever he follows any attack with the forward hammer thrust, also make it completely unbearable for me.
      Went back to Sekiro immediately after finishing Elden Ring, its late game bosses are simply not fun at all, very cinematic and visually impressive, but pretty horrible mechanically. I really hope they fix them, though I deeply doubt it.

    • @hiddenmaster6062
      @hiddenmaster6062 Před 2 lety +2

      They both need to be fixed. They're both broken and unfair. Radagon can be cheated easily. Just run up to him before he turns around and attack him with arrows, bolts or MAYBE magic. He will not react to you unless you stance break him or melee him. What is the point of teleporting if he's teleporting to where he teleported from? Why is dodging past him in an area he didn't cover in the 2 previous cones the only way to get out of that triple slam?
      The Elden Beast has a similar no reaction glitch which can also be consistently triggered. It is impossible to not get hurt by the Elden Beast. Mostly in part by its Elden Star. That homing star attack that never goes away. You can't dodge it. You can't out run it. You can't jump it. Or even circle around it. It and its tiny stars will get you time and time again. If you don't have flasks at this part and the Elden Beast is still far from dying, then just put the controller down or use the memory of grace. You lose. Better LUCK next time, scrub.
      No amount of "getting good" is going to fix any of this. It's so bad, it's no wonder why most people cheat in this fight.

    Recommend using blasphemous sword against final boss, you heal each time you hit them with your weapon art and so does your mimic. It does really good damage to radagon and Elden beast. The best use of it is the healing factor of the ability.

    The worst part about this fight is the fact that EB can cast 3 spells on you at once that are literally undodgeable. You HAVE to tank some damage in that scenario. I'm talking about the 4 magic shockwaves, the magic needles that follow you, AND elden stars. Elden stars is such a horribly designed attack to begin with, with its ridiculous tracking, but add TWO MORE attacks to that and this fight is straight cancer.

It’s just pretty disappointing all things considered for a final boss. Radagon on the other hand is very fun. Like if the Sister Friede fight only had you fighting Ariandel instead of both of them and once you beat Ariandel, the fight was over, that would be disappointing. @kitzi4470 Před 2 lety +1

      This boss would be better if we could just ride our horse to close the distance.
      He’s similar to Grom from bloodborne with the aspect of running away and using range attacks on you but the stark difference between the two fights was that grom was a lot closer during teleports compared to elden beast so you had a decent amount of time to close the distance with him getting off a move similar to the elden beast rain move and land a good chunk of hits on him. Elden beast runs constantly with not a decent way to close the distance so your chasing him over and over again instead of actual combat.
      That’s what I think the major issue with the fight is. Not the fact elden beast moves. It’s the fact there’s not a decent way to close the distance between them.

    The big problem with elden beast is he's so fucking big that when you're in melee range you can't actually see what he's doing, so it makes it really hard to dodge attacks. He also teleports away from you constantly so you're spending stamina to run back into melee to only get 2 attacks before he just leaves again.
