I use Gather round twice a week to replace the co op we stopped attending, which was twice a week. I don’t have to worry about other subjects like science or geography the other three days of the week since it’s all incorporated in the unit studies. The other three days we just focus on their core curriculums for Math and Language Arts. It’s been such a big help and blessing this school year.
How good is that! My freind Abby, from @familystylelearning loves it too.

Can you review Gentle and Classical? I feel like it was like Gather Round but more academically sound
As the video makes clear, it's not a hate Mormons speech. In fact, I clearly say I LOVE MORMONS!!!!! All the Mormons I've ever met have been gorgeous individuals that I've thoroughly enjoyed talking with. That said, the video is about why I don't think TGATB should be called a Christian curriculum. And that's not because 'it's Mormon' because it's not particulary. It's because it's not gospel-centered. And that's the heart of the gospel.
Another thing to consider is that Christianity IS intolerant of institutions and people that water down its message. Jesus said he will offend some.

Haha no...on the contrary. The writer of Gather Round was actually probably the first person to take a strong stand against TGATB.
She is very solidly gospel centered. Rebecca Spooner.
@howtohomeschool I was going through Gr Living off the Land lesson 2 and it mentioned the Morman Trail along with the California and Oregon and I though since it was a trail led for only 2 years it started in the mid 1850s, why it was being mentioned. Then I thought, maybe she was a Mormon? My husband had reminded me of her stance today, and I thought, why do we need to talk about this? That is why I asked. I was wondering if I was being bamboozled. I am a Christian and do not want to be involved in TGTB. I have very strong views on Mormon doctrine. (Which of course people can disagree with, but my opinion is mine)
Be careful who you support. The creator of GR is Rebecca Spooner. Please do your research before supporting this person. Also, do research on the curriculum itself.
