The thing about this show, apart from it being brilliantly written, the actors and the pathos were remarkable for a wee Scottish comedy. One of the greatest shows to ever screen, a fantastic ensemble of truly talented actors. I never tire of watching this. The whole cast made it unmissable TV. I loved every line in every episode, and so sad it has ended.
I think aswell if ye watch Chewin the Fat aswell, the bits that have Jack and Victor in them, there's not many TV shows that have featured the antics of 2 old biddy's just doin normal old fellas stuff that has been soo well acted out and funny done before, least not that I can think of . It's a great view for the younger generations too into what getting older can be like aswell for alot of folk. But it's not depressing or lonely like alot of the time ye think it would be even though that's the reality for some people. Ford and Greg made this show hilarious and showed that getting old really isn't the downward slope most folk often think it is. Atleast not if ye remember yer pals and there's a community spirit which is what makes this soo good aswell, it incorporates alot of modern society and mixes it with the more traditional lives of the older folk and they wrote it soo well as to even mix neds, drugs and stuff in that normally don't go together or wouldn't be done in other sitcoms Aye it's a real shame it's finished, I've got a feelin in ma bones though they'll think of something in a few years and it'll come back again. It's too much of an iconic show, I think it kind of lost it's charm in the last series abit but Ford and Greg are still young blokes, I'm sure some ideas will come along and they'll do wee one offs here and there in the coming years.

I’ve been introducing my friends here in Newfoundland to it. They have to use subtitles for the first season and after that they understand everything. Great show
They were speaking the truth about pulling down new buildings. I know someone who moved into a brand new block of flats less than 5 years later pulled them down.
