She runs as "smooth as silk." She is quiet & beautifully presented. Thank you for sharing.

Nicest Triumph front, rear and dashboard. I had á early Dolomite in the eightees my first car. Still miss it.

My dads was the same colour, but was the slightly later facelift Mk1 with dark dials, leather perforated seat facings, two eyeball air vents in the centre of the dash, an oblong electric clock, rubber faces on the over riders on the bumper/ fender and it had the optional overdrive. I took my driving test in it 51 years ago this month. Nice car, and yours is lovely. They should be less rare than they are. I think he did about 90,000 miles in it then swapped it for a Peugeot 504 injection.

Envious--am I. Thanks for the video Jens. Gorgeous condition, iconic nose, and imho, the mk1 had a far better balanced (short) boot than the mk2 facelift. Nothing wrong with how the mk2 2000 drove though. One those cars that seemed to have a preferred cruising speed i.e., would happily cruise all day at 80 mph in a 43 C Australian heatwave and giving around 30 imperial mpg--not bad for that smooth, tireless, 6 cyl motor.

Would you think this car would make a 2000 mile drive?
