This is one of the best movies I have seen in a while. I expected brilliance from Samuel L Jackson, But this British actor playing an American was too good.
Jackson plays Jackson. Sheen on the other hand has phenomenal dramatic range. One of the best actors of his generation.

She's been brought in to play a very specific role in the interrogation,
and when she's objecting and challenging and making alternate suggestions that's all exactly what she's supposed to be doing;
saying things out loud that the higher ups are saying in their own heads,
so they can reject those impulses and stay the course with the anonymous expert interrogator's program.
But instead they waffle, they abdicate, they pass the buck down to her,
which is dereliction of duty.

the movie is not about that really, its about how morality in certain situations shouldn't be above actually saving lives.
This movie deals with the problem of saving your own morality or saving millions of lives. Because if you can kill 1 family, including the children and it will only give you a 50% chance that you will find all the bombs will you do it
the chance might even be smaller, and the killing is through torture that eventually ends in death of the child.
Many would said they won't, but then millions of lives disappears including millions of kids. So is that 1 kid more important than all the millions of other kids, that is the question of this movie.
This movie aside, what Is crazy about being opposed to terrorism? Domestic or not.

I literally just saw this movie last night! I enjoyed it, but Netflix completely cut out the ending which changes the whole ending entirely.
