Yeah difficult to find a road. Usually that road is really nice. But on the day I filmed the conditions were really bad! I think I prefer this car just shredding tires around a carpark on 3s instead of speedrunning.
you should add a very important part to the review thats how long replacement parts take to be delivered so far ive been waiting over three weeks for conformation it been sent have read others have been waiting 5 weeks plus so dont brake anything unless your an CZcams influencer
Personally, I think the aluminum chassis version is better suited as a basher...but, the CF version does make for a very capable speedrun car. Although I haven't started upgrading mine (other than the shocks), several others have already gotten theirs up to speeds in excess of 100mph. I truly believe the AK-917 is going to give the Arrma Vendetta a serious run for the money. 🤙🏼
Good video.... I really appreciate the honesty! I was really wanting one based on the hype but it is slower than my Traxxas Bandit with some gearing and tire modifications. Maybe it has more potential but it does not seem all that it is cracked up to be. I really thought it would be more stable at speed and quicker. I am curious to see what folks get out of them with some gearing modifications.
I ran 76mph completely stock yesterday after changing the gearing to the largest pinion and medium spur that comes on the car. I'll post a video soon. But it's a terrifying experience, really hard to keep straight. Upgrading the servo, adding a gyro and using foam tires will improve things and that will be my next step.
Thanks for the vid. Like some people I'm hyped about having a 1/10 car that could go super fast but, truth be told, I still don't know where I'm going to safely run it to get anything like the speeds in the pictures my imagination is painting. Mine arrives in a week or so.. we'll see I guess.
Burying the antenna deep in the car will affect signal though. If they were too rough they can also break the antenna internally. Many reviewers had loss of signal issues with this car.
@@ChinaExpatsRC QC issues aside, the stock placement should be fine. It's best to have the antenna aligned vertically due to the blind spot above the tip.

I purchased a AK-917 carbon fiber RTR on 4/29/23 I paid extra for expedited shipping ok on 5/6/23 I got a shipping email so about a week passes so I track it and it says waiting for carrier/DHL to pick up item. So I message DHL and they said Riaarlo only made a electronic email that they could not pick up item, So I message Riaarlo and again and again and again so on and no response nothing to this day about my order WTF Riaarlo??? I will never purchase anything from them again !!!!!!!!!!!!

@ZeroUH customer service was great with me. My car was marked delivered but I never got it, they sent me out a replacement free of charge.

It's based on the Porsche 917 LeMans car. I think it will make a great track RC car.

Don't put the antenna on the carbon fibre as it will reduce the effective range.
It's all plastic on this car

I think the by electric parts they mean batteries, turbo mode makes it accelerate 30% faster apparently
