Ok so my extractor came out of mine yesterday, had it a lot over 2 years, and I messaged bca and they said return it and I don’t want to return my whole damn gun for a silly lil part. So what is a good aftermarket extractor for the bca 22. I’ve been trying to just look at what would fit best and that seems to be the Ruger 10/22 extractors

Received my AR 22LR upper from Bear Creek middle of this week just in time for a weekend work out at the range. The upper arrived well packaged, no damage and was very pleased at how well it was put together. I thought a 10 round magazine was to be included but not so. No big deal.
I mated the upper with a PSA lower built with a CMMG lower parts kit, including CMMG trigger/hammer. This lower has performed flawlessly with my 556 upper.
The day at the range was mostly successful. I had 4 CMMG 25RD mags stuffed with Winchester 40gr super-x to start the check out. Out of the 100rds I had 4 FTE, 3 FTF, 2 light strikes and one DOOB. I really attribute most of those failures to the ammo. The reason being is I have similar issues with the Winchester ammo in my 10/22s and Marlin 60. I reloaded the empty mags with Aguilla 40gr HV and one FTE and one light strike. Think upper needs to be broken more but overall 👍
Was really impressed with the accuracy of the barrel. At 50yards using a Romeo 5 red dot was consistently shooting 5-6 round groups that could be covered with a quarter. Much more accurate than the CMMG conversion and right on par with my Marlin 60.
The bolt design appears adequate for the job but the only two improvements I would recommend would to use a dual guide rail and encapsulated spring for the bolt as in the cmmg bolt. The single spring and guide rod produces a torquing action that could bind the bolt. Also of course is the chisel tip firing pin.
Considering the price point, I'm very happy my purchase. The BCA barrel exceeded my expectations for sure.

Using the CMMG Gen2 mags on a BCA .22lr upper they tend to push up on the ejector causing the bolt to jam. Not sure if this happens with other manufactures. Simple solution is to file down part of the feed lip on the left side. Only takes about +/- 1/16 of an inch.

I've got to think there's a reason there have been so few successful semi-auto 22wmr designs. If Ruger can't make it work, that says something. It's especially difficult to make them work with diverse loads on the market. That said, I'd probably want one, too, being a maggie junkie. If it happens, build it with the proper barrel dimensions so it's accurate. For those who don't know, 22 LR & 22WMR use different caliber bullets. Contrary to the popular myth, 22WMR can be quite accurate, with proper barrel dimensions. If you don't believe that, check out the Ruger American Rimfire in 22WMR. Mine shoots sub-nickle sized 50yd groups with ease.

@@bgray0067 Well, that sucks because it also means it won't work with the Fostec binary triggers. My understanding is they need a BCG with the auto profile. The Franklin Binary triggers might work, but those have the problem of outrunning the bolt carrier. The Fostec eliminates that issue by somehow engaging the auto profile on the BCG.

As the operation of a binary trigger doesn't rely on any interaction with the bolt other than the hammer reset to achieve it's function it should work, I'd be curious as to whether it will work with the full auto trip in a registered full auto lower though.
