Hey, I just purchased your Lohanu concert Ukulele as a gift for myself, and I have to say I was so surprised by the quality. I was debating between Kala and Lanakai products when I stumbled upon your set on amazon. It's been an absolute pleasure to learn on.
Never regretted buying the tenor (LU-T) from you. I have put a bunch of different strings on it from high-g to low-g from my favorite supplier and it always pleases me (high-g atm.. lol my kala baritone is strung low-g gcea). The only 1 I probably play more is my ubass and that's getting "retired" for a steel string version from "another manufacturer". Lohanu Ukulele ROCKS!

I presently own a Cordoba Protégé. I know it's a personal decision but I was wondering if there is a big difference in tone between a concert and tenor uke. Many thanks for your reply. Your customer service is one reason I'm considering the tenor!

Just keep in mind the tenor also has wider fret distances than the concert too and tenors are better for those with larger hands. But even if you had smaller hands you can still play it. The Tenor should not be out of tune because it’s a long scale! I think something else is causes that. Maybe cheap strings or the saddle it’s hard to say with out looking at it. I play tenor never had a problem with it.
+Ana P Aloha Ana! The black thing is a pick holder. It's got a sticker in the back so you can stick it on anywhere. I like to put it on the ukulele as I have it, but you can put it anywhere you like! Mahalo!

You can Google or Bing it and see what reshippers are available for your area. We haven't had any personal experience with them but our customers have reported they received them and were happy. Just FYI, we have an unconditional lifetime warranty on the Lohanu ukes and accessories. If there are any issues then we can only ship them to a United States address. If you are an adult, we recommend the concert because it is a bit bigger than the soprano which makes it easier to play because the frets are more spaced out. But if you like the portability and the most original size, then soprano is fine (especially if you have smaller hands). Either way, you can't really go wrong.
Aloha there! Our ukulele is laminate and it's definitely good enough for beginner and intermediate. There's very little difference between a good laminate (like ours) and an all wood ukulele except you would be paying a lot more for an all wood ukulele. 99% of people are fine with laminate ukuleles. Hope that helps.
Hi Susan, The current ones in stock don't have fret markers on the side. But you can purchase dot stickers or just mark them yourself. It's very easy to do if it's feature you desire. :)
We believe that our Lohanu is the best bang for your money. For the Kala Koa, you have to pay about 3 times more money and it's only slightly better in quality.
