- Welcome to Weekly Used Gun Review. These videos are meant to by entirely educational. Nothing in the video is for sale. There are no fire demonstrations in this video. In this series I pick a small sample of guns that have been brought into our store for review. This is a good way to expose my viewers to a wide array of firearms that might not otherwise get their own dedicated review. I love my Ruger SR556. I also have a Colt M-4 and a Bushmaster, but the SR556 is my favorite. But you're really making me feel old by talking about the nostalgia of the 1980's firearms. I'm nostalgic about 1950 -1960's firearms. Damn kids!

"When things get back to normal" -- We must be living in two different universes my friend. I don't think anything is going to be "normal" for some time. I noticed you don't get any of those AK pistols in that everybody used to consider novelty guns. Good reviews stay safe.
You can tell this guy is highly intelligent and I appreciate his vocabulary and presentation style. I consider myself to be a knowledgeable gun guy myself but I always learn something here. I don't even hold being a hoosier against this guy. Kudos sir, you are appreciated.

fun fact about the Ruger precision Rimfire rifles: the bolt itself has a "gasket" on it that can be removed and it will give you a full length bolt throw like the centerfired Precision has.

You HAD 7.62x25mm in stock! You were far cheaper than anyone online and I need to feed my Yugo and Romanian Toks. And 7.62x39mm is even cheaper. Pew, pew товарищ (comrade).

I had one of those Colts in 1990. The explosion of the Wondernines dampened their popularity. I picked it up used, in excellent condition, for around $250-$275. I was trying to decide between it and a new Bersa for the same price. I definitely made the right choice.

Im rlly liking the SR 556, Maybe when the panic and prices come down ill pick one up, i remember buying a norinco 7.62x25 pistol for like 104$ back in the day haha hell i cant afford to shoot 7.62x39 right now and it hasnt even went up much, cant imagine 556! Prices are just , Not good for shooters at the moment , sadly , Have a good one!

Love your presentations,. That Vector rifle gives new meaning to the term "ugly"!
The Ruger SR556's weak point was the price. It wasn't sold by sales people; no advertisements of what it was, or why it carried a $1300 to $1400 price tag. Often, the sales people didn't even know that it was a piston gun let alone its strengths. The SR556 was a good rifle; stayed remarkably clean. Was heavy considering the barrel profile.. The Takedown version did take the weight into consideration. There was a cheaper version of the SR556 without a chrome lined barrel (SR556E ) , and a different BCG (black BCG if I remember correctly ).
Still, the AR556 was not necessarily a better rifle; it was just significantly cheaper. Same difference between getting a better rifle and getting two or three cheaper rifles. Many didn't want to fork over the cash for a $1300 Ruger AR; so the AR556 just sells far more easily. When it comes to panic buys, cheaper rifles always outsell the better rifles; ask Daniel Defense..

More information is needed to give a estimated price point. Condition of gun, is everything included, box and paperwork. Then check blue book of gun values . In today's market, if it is a desirable gun you can add 10% - 25% to the price in a private sale.

I don't know why, but I think semi auto vectors are a waste lol
Because they are so weird looking perhaps? I can't get past the way they look either, even though I like the idea of a PCC in 10mm that takes Glock mags and has low recoil impulse/muzzle climb.
