    This box looks so good , bought the 50L then this model became available in Australia . Yamaha accessories price is quite steep

    Once again a great video. The gap on the top case is quite large. It seems like the helmets don't fit well in them. My helmets only fit in a very specific lying position. I ordered the top case directly from Yamaha Europe and the carrier for 150 euros from a third party. It's the same carrier used for the Yamaha X Max. The rest was similarly priced. Installing the lock cylinder was more complicated than I thought. I therefore recommend buying the fully assembled top case from your Yamaha dealer. The color of the cover (matt grey) does not match 100% with the color of the Tricity (metal grey), but it does match 98%. I have the same I was skeptical at first about the handle on the top case because of the design. But in the end I use it almost every day, it's great (google translation)

    Could you give a total run down on what you have purchased for your Yamaha Tricity 300 Motorcycle Trike, we are guessing somewhere between Euro's 2,750 to Euro’s 4,291.79 or more?
    Or around GBP £ 2,398.66 upto GBP £ 3,743.47, which Including pair of Shoei GT Air 2 helmets and sound system, lower tandem two person seat and under seat padded cover too.
    Along with a complete top box set, Apron, the pair of Heated Hand Grips and pair of Hand Grip Wind Guards.
    Also the Yamaha High Screen and Yamaha Console Bag too, with both a Gopro 11 camera system, plus lastly the TomTom (we take it it is the Rider 550 World Motorcycle Navigation Device Satnav with Lifetime Map Updates as well?) too.
    That is on top of the Dutch price of a new Yamaha 300 Motorcycle Trike itself too, also any local and road fund taxes needing paying, plus the cost of motorcycle insurance, breakdown coverage and extra warranty coverage too?

    Thanks for the video. I was wondering about the windshield you got. I haven't bought one but I wanted to know if it made a differerence to the driving? Is it worth the money

      Hi @user-kq8pb2gg8g it certainly keeps us protected from the elements but i quess the only drawback is you need a water repellent to help keep it clear in heavy rain. 🌧️ but we are happy with it. Kind Regards PSR.

    Another great video👍 I love this box, it is indeed the best looking box for the Tricity, but wow…. The price !!. But on the other hand, it is some large extra space it gives you to takes things with you. Maybe an idea for another video, or at least I am interested in, is why you chose for the Tricity and not for the Peugeot or Piaggio? ( for me it is the looks) but maybe you have other reasons. Would be interested in your thoughts on that. Happy and safe driving, and looking forward to the next one.

      I test drove the Piaggio beforehand. In my opinion, the Yamaha is the only one that really feels like a two-wheeled scooter, especially in the corners. In my opinion, Yamaha has incorporated superior technology into the steering. When I already had the Tricity, I could also drive a Peugeot, which I liked curves even less. The even higher weight of the Peugeot is also quite noticeable. The Yamaha handles 95% like a two-wheeler, Piaggio and Peugeot are maybe 75% of it. (Google translation)

    • @pictureskyriders981
      @pictureskyriders981  Před rokem +3

      For me the look’s of the yamaha tricity and reliability of Japanese engineering and yes it does handle like a two wheel scooter in my opinion were the main factors.

    Hi you are doing great job sir i have one question for you sir i know that on some other two wheels and three wheels vehicles that can have towbar on them so can the yamaha tricity 300 have a towbar put on it or not sir?

      @pictureskyriders981  Před rokem

      Hi georgerowlands5100 Thank you for your comments and question. With regards to a tow bar i’m not aware that yamaha make or recommend a tow bar for the tricity 300, it’s possible that third party manufacturers could make such a fitting but again i’m not aware. Kind Regards PSR.

    Is there no problem in fitting any full face helmet then? I'm wondering if I should get the old (ugly) 50L one for a new Tracer 7 or this one, which I like much more. Not sure if 5 L less is going to limit space even more. Another thing I've seen that, reading official Yamaha sources, that the decorating plates are mandatory, is that so? Or could I leave them without them? Didnt know they were that expensive.. Thanks a lot for the video, apart from your video I haven't found almost no info about this top case!

    • @pictureskyriders981
      @pictureskyriders981  Před rokem

      Hi @renevp2 Depends on what helmets you have if you have only one helmet then i don’t think you will have a problem but two helmets can be a problem. We can fit two LS2 modular helmets but not our new full face helmets. See if you can try your helmets first in the dealership box if they have one in store. Regards PSR.

      Hi @renevp2 I’m not sure about the matching side covers they are expensive but we just bought them anyway. I’m sure these were optional to purchase. Regards PSR

    • @renevp2
      @renevp2 Před rokem +1

      I went today to the dealership with my full face helmet where I have my Tracer 7 preordered, but even if they didn't have the 45L topcase on hand, he told me "I'm completely sure that your helmet and another one will fit". Still not 100% sure as I wanted to test how much space was left with my main helmet inside, so I guess I will try going there again with my helmet in a few days. Thanks for the answer!

    • @renevp2
      @renevp2 Před rokem

      Oh, and about the side covers, I told him that I couldn't find any info online about them, and he told me because it depends on the color, ranging 60-140€. As my bike will be black, the black covers are the cheapest. Without them water could get inside, so yes, they are mandatory.

    The top-box is handsome and fits well to the bike. But it is double the amount of money such a top-box should cost.
    Anyway, the helmets barely fit into your box, as you may have noticed yourself.
