Why Do You Need To change Your Air Filter In Your Car?

The reasons behind changing your air filter. It is better for your engine to be able to "breath", it can also help your fuel economy! You also don't want dirt to be sucked into your engine, and wear it out prematurely.

Hey so on my 05 Ford Explore it has been having a problem where it don’t want to accelerate until u give it a couple good revs and I took it to check the transmission oil and filter but they told me it was good and clean but last night I checked my air filter and it was way more dirty than that one u have could that be my problem just the Air filter/sensor or throttle body?

These filters are made of a paper type of material. They can be blown out with an air hose and compressor. After they get dirty you need to replace them, because you can’t just rinse them out.

What happens when you remove your air filter?? Is there something that gets damaged???

If you drive without using a filter. Dirty air will be sucked into the throttle body and your engine. This will wear the top end of the engine out prematurely.
