The Closing Night Finale from 'A Chorus Line' 2006. Characters by appearance... MEN: Larry Paul Al Greg Mike Don Ritchie Mark Bobby WOMEN: Maggie Connie Kristine Sheila Cassie Judy Val Bebe Diana I played Don. Enjoy!
I saw A Chorus Line over 40 years ago in New York City. It was my first time in NYC, I was young barely 21 yrs old and wanted to see and learn so much. This Broadway production affected me in so many ways besides the music and choreography it was the writing, the topics and the actors who played them. I was in NYC w/ my boyfriend and we lived together. The struggles and subject matter of a gay man, in a public forum in the mid 1970's, even in a Broadway show was not something I'd ever seen before. I was creative and alone a lot growing up. This show meant a lot 2 me.
I saw A Chorus Line on Broadway four decades ago...I was 14 years old. Already a music lover, this show solidified my passion for choreography and musical theater! I can never thank them enough for giving me such a wonderful gift! My love to all who ever has been a part of a this show!
I saw this the other day because of the braodway across america thing and it was OUTSTANDING!!! anyone who hasn't seen it needs to go and buy tickets right now lol This video doesn't even show how amazing the finale really is, u need to be in the audience to get the full effect. I thought that the singing and dancing were wonderful too especially with that kind of choreography!! :D
....dedicated to those among you who have ever stood on a stage and performed anyone - anywhere. Damn I miss it. Got too old. But doesn't that applause - instant approval - ring in your ears for the rest of your life. No other profession in esicatence has that.
Wow!! That finale was GREAT!! You guys are lucky you have an orchestra..All we have is a VERY (thanks god) TALENTED piano player...but I suppose it'll add to the originality of the show? haha well A Chorus Line is definitely one of the best broadway shows you can perform!
This so remarkably difficult to do that any coherent performance, and this was far beyond that, deserves roaring applause! I'm not sure where this is from..but good job!
GenuineRisk1 This was not "before" Andrew Lloyd Webber. Two of his musicals, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1968) and Jesus Christ: Superstar (1970) actually predate A Chorus Line (1975) while Evita (1976) was a contemporary. I'm sorry you don't like Sir Andrew's work, but the industry certainly does. How else would you explain his 7 Tony Awards (4 for Best Musical, 3 for Best Original Score), 4 Grammy Awards and an Oscar for Best Original Song ("You Must Love Me", Evita, 1996).
Well, it's not Broadway, but very impressive for a community theater/ high school musical. Good job! But what's with the camera angle? The best spot at a musical is dead center because the choreography is geared that way. Still, very nice!
o wait nvm. I see from the comments this wasnt broadway! Is it some acting school?... cuz its some great vocals/choreography/costumes! and how did you do this show swhile it was on broadway? Isnt that not allowed??? hm. weird.
I totally agree with you on this. Poor little Connie Wong looked like she was about to get squished or hit in the face. Other than great job. not better than my production. JK!
Nice job, where was this performed? With all due respect, for 'Chorus Line' the orchestra should NEVER be visible because this an audition, the music is more in their minds than in the theater.
This is pretty cool but personally i think it would have been better if you could have taken the video from the audience, because at this angle you can't see the mirrors. =(
Well, it was a limited, miscast, and totally mediocre production that I absolutely loved. I was spoiled after seeing the original in 1975, so the bar is high. Congratulations in even attempting to do this musical play that is in the top drawer of all Broadway shows. 👏 👏
So true. I've always said that this particular musical exposes the "triple threat" aspects of a performer more than any other musical. If there's a weakness in any of the three ingredients(singing, dancing, acting)then it sure enough will present itself in an obvious manner. There's no blending in with the chorus, thinking that you won't be seen or heard as much. There's No hiding in THIS show😂

WOW! I could have sworn that this was regional or touring company! Great JOb
It was. Certainly not the Broadway revival. No Jasen Tam, No Charlotte D'Amboise??? Who is this cast?
Hey this is pretty good!! in my hometown we r putting on this play right now and its awesome. My character is "Don"
This so remarkably difficult to do that any coherent performance, and this was far beyond that, deserves roaring applause! I'm not sure where this is from..but good job!
Wow! A very excellent community production: good singing & dancing, fine costumes & live orchestra. How'd ya pull this off?!
wait woah...ur on b-way! i'd love to talk to one of you! Thats my dream!
Me recuerda al debut de las azafatas del Un dos tres del año 83.. ¡¡¡Que recuerdos....
This is community theatre? Amazing!
Damn did you have Baayork in up in there or something? It's like the original choreography! I loved it!
this is amazing.... where did you get your costumes? I'm doing a production of ACL and hard to find them
i'm pretty sure this is the choreography of the real Broadway play, because when i saw the revival of the play it was almost exactly like this.
This song is called "One"
we did alright didn't we?
.
Does anybody know if that is Anthony Wayne playing Ritchie?
What finale was that in 2006? Not on Broadway?
The best and last musical...before the over the top Weber productions changed Broadway.

Again I ask. Opened on Broadway in 2006 and closed in 2006??? What and where was this production??? Not in New York?
Grand Rapids Civic Theatre - a community theatre production
Oh, and it was in Michigan
what do you mean by closing night?
you were on b-way!?!??
thats my dream! How'd you do it! We must talk!
Pretty sloppy, kids. But...YAY!
C'mon man - these are not professional dancers ! They pulled this off brilliantly.

I think this was taken from the wings.
an "amateur" performer means that they don't get paid to perform - not that they act like that though...
wicked job!
