  • Here's a quick look into my life as a full-time intern at a mid-tier professional services firm! I go over what i did during my internship and what the audit intern role looks like. It's currently my last week and I've definitely learned SO MUCH from the experience. Leave your questions and thoughts in the comments below :)

    This was so helpful thank you! I’m interviewing for an accounting internship right now. All of the descriptions have been so vague so this is very helpful!

    I have an internship with Bdo coming up !! What do you suggest I start practicing before I start ? Excel ? Debits and credits ? Financial statements?

    Since you weren't an acct. or finance major I'm curious as to why you would want an accounting internship.

    Did you do your intern before or after your graduation?

    Hii, I recently joined as an intern at BDO but they expect me to work 12 hours a day like morning 10 to night 10 , whenever I asked my senior till what time should i be finishing or till what time office closes she tells me 10 at the night , she says she has so many work and have to work till 10 at night , can you suggest me what do I do?

      Definitely set non negotiable e.g dinner with friends, or sport or something similar once a week. Audit isn’t great for work life balance but 12 hours is just silly

    What kind questions were you asked on your interview and were you required to past a test?

    • @ridalasne

      The questions were mainly behavioral. A big thing they focus on is if you're comfortable asking questions so I'd be sure to include that as one of your strengths!

    Heyy, I just wanted to kindly ask, where does one apply for an internship like this.

    • @ridalasne
      @ridalasne  Před 3 lety +1

      I'd recommend applying on platforms such as LinkedIn, Handshake, and Jumpstart. If you know specific companies you'd like to work at, you can also apply on their website! Hope that helped :)

    Were you in public accounting firm? Was it one of the big 4?

      It was a mid-sized professional services firm that offered financial audit! Hope that helps :)

    Do you like accounting ?

      It was a great experience, but I don't think it complimented my education very well! I'm currently studying Information Systems & Computer Science and I felt as if I enjoyed other career opportunities better. Hope that helps :)
