  • Delta State government has approved with great fanfare the development of Asaba waterfront City. When completed it will be the best waterfront city stretching from Delta State and across the Southeast of Nigeria. The design work is completed and all that remains is the actual construction. But before construction commences, they must deal with the issue of compensation for the host communities and that is very often a sticky problem because you must deal with different groups like those who are for the project and those against. Lucky enough, in Nigeria we do not have to deal with environmental activists who could make the realization of such projects a trouble to deal with. This is important considering that the area in question is a swampy area that provides a conducive ecosystem for the growth and survival of many animal and plant species. Nigerians do not worry about that yet. The whole swamp must be sand filled up from 3 to 12 meters high in different areas. In this reclamation effort, the whole ecosystem must be destroyed. We will give some deeper analysis of this project and see if it is realizable. But first let us listen to the promotional video highlighting the project by the sponsors of the project. Immediately after we will look at the challenges facing the realization of this modern city along the bank of the Niger.

You're right bro, this project may not see the light of the day, Okowa should have started this project two-three years ago, not when he's about to leave Office, the incoming governor is not from Anioma , so he may not want to continue with such project, God help Delta state

The city is on course, it a map that has been layed dawn and it is included in all the unfinished projects of the okowa administration, I don't think sheriff is that kind of a man who is ethnical madness and + okowa is not a fool to have layed the foundation at this time of his exit, am not saying that okowa is in charge but he will always bring this city issues to the table of sheriff and as long as okowa is still life there's the hope of this city the asaba water front city, I will bet my life on this sheriff will start it but might not finish it. ❀❀❀❀❀❀

Asaba is geographically south east but politically south south, and I don’t know why you’re trying to create some kinda division, as a delta Igbo, asaba is part of south east, you can cause your confusion somewhere else, we’re asaba people, we’re Igbo, thank you
